REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

I'm sure Open Britain are well aware of how toxic Tony Blair is but will have an ongoing strategy with that in mind. Much of what he said yesterday I find myself in full agreement. He does have the ability to get the message out there.

I too agree but the fact he is the messenger means that a lot of people will dismiss it without even listening. Perhaps Remain groups accept that these people are blind to any criticism of Brexit and therefore don't see any harm in using Blair. You may have a point that Blair gets the message out there and the same speech by somebody else would not have been reported in national media.

The message that we were wrong and he is right. Does WMD mean anything to you? To me integrity is everything, he doesn't have an ounce of it. Always a good narrator, all ways full of toxic lies and manipulation.

It just wakes the Brexit vote up and will embarrass some real socialists on the left, who voted remain. It would have been like Jimmy Saville giving a speech on parental care.

The key message for me is when the talks with the European Union are concluded the British people have a right to say yes or no to the proposed deal.

He wouldn't be doing this if he didn't believe in it.

Not interested THM, best target someone else for your next few pages of gibberish.

That would give the EU the green light to play very hard with the UK and only offer us what would be unacceptable to the British voter. So you wouldn't have Brexit, which is what you want, but against the majority who voted to leave the EU.

I don't know the answer, I would imagine he wasn't paid at all.

I have no intention of spending the day 'discussing' why people shouldn't be able to migrate to other countries with someone who has done exactly that, pretty sure there's a word for that.

As long as when you start taking the pissed out of me in a few weeks time, I can use the same excuse, I have no problem with that.haha.
I agree with you, you have the right not to get in to a debate.

I think that's key and I think we'll be depending on the House of Lords rather than Commons to get this right.

To be fair to Blair (and I think the prick should be in jail) I don't think he was using this as a stage to attack Labour. I think he is genuinely distressed about Brexit and feels that as an ex-PM he should try and 'do something'. It's probably one of the few speeches he's given that he hasn't been paid 200 grand for mind.

As a strong proponent of remain, I am actually rather disappointed to see Blair wading in. Sure, it is a subject he clearly feels passionately about, but I am far from convinced that association with his name will be in any way beneficial

No one else is going to do it though. A voice is better than no voice.

The EU do not want the UK to leave the EU. Giving the people another vote at the end, would make the EU'S job of trying to get us to stay in, very easy. They will not give us a deal, which the people will accept, play very hard, to get the people to change their minds about leaving. Of course you would want another vote at the end, you want to stay in the EU and would be hoping the EU would change our democratic choice, which we have already made.
We have to go in to these negotiations, being fair, but also making sure that the EU know that whatever happens, we have already made our democratic choice and what ever happens in the negotiations, we are leaving.
This way, we will get a better deal, to leave the EU.

No, I didn't give the answers some wanted to hear, but I genuinely tried to answer questions.

You were asked on numerous occasions "What specific laws have the EU undemocratically passed that you don't like?"

If you have posted an answer to this, I apologise and will find it. However, all I've seen is you say they make decisions behind closed doors. That doesn't answer the question (that at least 3 different people asked you)
