Q: How many Brexiters does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: SHUT UP, YOU LOST, THIS IS BRITISH DARKNESS.

Brexiters don't like darkness.

At least, I think that's what they keep saying...

Q: How many Remainers does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: Have to consult the EU Commission for a Work Directive after ensuring the lightbulb has come from a EU partner and both it and the worker meet EU standards.

It's amazing that no-one has mentioned Nissan, yet. Or is it that good news doesn't fit the doom and gloom criteria?

Dino - I haven't seen it. What have they said?

The rise in GDP is actually a pleasant surprise, BTW

Making more Micra's?...pretty much all the doom and gloom I can take for one year

Staying in the UK and will make two new models at Sunderland, meaning extra jobs to what they employ now.

I was worried that we wouldnt have a replacement now Frank has found his sense of humour. Crisis averted.

That is great news for up there, and a significant boost for the argument for the Brexiters. Let's face it, it is the way things are going so you have to celebrate a good news story.

Indeed, "thanks to government "support and assurances".

I think I'll wait to hear how much the government has had to provide before I decide if its a good thing or not.

If I were Toyota I'd be looking for my "support and assurances" tomorrow.

Probably spending some of the £350m a week that they’ve already spent many times over. no harm in sending it again! The reality is the Govt cannot afford to let Nissan build the Qashqai elsewhere, the message it would send would be devastating.

which is why we'll probably not hear exactly what it constitutes.

still taxpayers' money being used to support a multinational corporate certainly strikes a blow against the multinational corporates.....

Taking back control...by giving loadsamoney to a massive Japanese auto company.

Pleasant that it is, as the headline is good for confidence, we are still two years away from whatever Brexit is. The small print doesn't read as well. The service sector was the only part of the economy showing growth.

to be fair, it may not be loadsamoney as the support asked for must surely depend on the final brexit deal - which is unknown.

There's a woman on sky's press preview trying to explain why the growth figures and the Nissan deal show we're screwed and Brexit is the end of the world - seems a tad desperate tbh...

You'd think even bremoaners could acknowledge good economic news occasionally, even if they didn't change their minds longer term.
