Dan - would happily listen to you expounding on about Wolves

A lot of the rest think they need to put 'humour' in (& mostly fail anyway)

We briefly discussed this in the pub before Watford, how much interest would there be in an Oscillating Wildly podcast? Obviously not just me wittering on by myself.
I'd subscribe, for sure.

Ok, we might well look at getting going in 2019. I've got some people looking into the technical stuff, happy to hear from anyone who'd like to get involved (subject to audition, of course :icon_lol: )

I'd give it a go. After all we were on the radio together once Dan.

If you interviewed Connor Coady would we be able to tell you pair apart, I need visuals :)

Steady :icon_lol:

Ben Marshall I'd have granted you.

This seemed as good a thread as any. The Gary Lineker/Danny Baker podcast is always a good listener - and today they discussed the Bull/Lineker fight rumour. Lineker confirmed it was all bollocks....

I've been listening to a lot of the 30 for 30 podcasts. Really good if you're into sports stories (do people here like sports?)

Late to this, but my podcast follows are:
Lineker and Baker Behind Closed Doors - Very Similar to the original 606, although has been parked recently for obvious reasons

Old Gold Club - Some of it can be a bit bland, but usually a decent listen

Eagle Eye - Niche one really unless you follow the Philadelphia Eagles

My Dad wrote a Porno - Listened to 8 episodes and it's crying out loud funny. Not sure how there's still material there 4 years later though so may get stale

Bootroom to Boardroom - Danny Kelly and Simon Jordan. I like DK and although I don't always agree with Jordan I find him engaging

Tried the Crouch one, but couldn't get beyond the Steve Wright levels of sycophancy

What became of this?

I can assure you they don't get stale, one of the funniest podcast series I've ever listened to. Book 4 especially is hilarious

They have just announced details of their second live tour starting next year, I went to their first show last year and it was hysterical. It's just been broadcast on Sky Atlantic and is probably still available on demand.

Going to the Old Gold Club live show at the Grand on Friday. Should be a decent evening out.

Quickly Kevin is also back soon. They are kicking off with a load shorter preseason podcasts before starting the proper run. They will be doing their review of the 3rd Steve Bruce novel in this season which is very exciting.

YES

Off Menu with James Acaster and Ed Gamble is pretty good.

One that's a bit weird but has had me in stitches is Gossip Mongers with Joe Wilkinson. Check out the most recent episode - the story of the long jumper is superb :icon_lol:

The Old Gold Club is good. I don't like the fancast - I still think there is a gap in the market for a good podcast with serious conversation about Wolves.

Non-Wolves related - Unexplained by Richard MacLean Smith is a good one - he's got the voice for these stories too.

Yes it was.

Alex Rae is fucking hilarious.

Dave Edwards was more candid than we thought he'd be though sadly did not slag off Saunders (he never came up). Couple of telling omissions when he was picking best players (hi Karl and Steven).

A lot of the John Richards stuff is over my head as I wasn't even born when he's talking about good teams that he played in. Also naturally biased when he says how good his lot were but I can understand that. Nice guy, I'm not the market but the audience who were largely older than us did enjoy his stuff.

Chris Iwelumo is massive now. Proper built.

Glad you enjoyed it, if I lived closer I would have gone. Relatively speaking JR played in the best Wolves sides of the last 50 years so fair play to him for eulagizing about them

Also Dave seemed to have a memory blank about Kites. Thought he basically was injured throughout his whole time here (after Dave arrived, which was Jan 08) and was never at his best. He got a ridiculous amount of assists in 08/09 as well as 8 goals.

JR also thought Andy Gray was on the way down when we signed him, he was 23! Repeated that more than once too. Thought it was well weird at the time as I'm old enough to remember him playing for Rangers, that's when he was old, not before I was born.

Death in Ice Valley is worth a listen, investigating a woman who was found dead in Norway during the cold war.
