Paul Lambert Leaves Wolves

From my pal the Huddersfield fan (he is the one who sent me the pic of Hamill at the training ground when he signed for them, which the guess and star nicked)

"Think with Wagner, Anything can happen. Survival is the aim and I think we'll do it. Reckon VLP might not be up to scratch, can run at people.. but his final ball is absolutely woeful

We just lack a 25+ goal striker
Abraham might come on loan, think we'll get Brown / Palmer back too.

Mooy wants to stay in Huddersfield, speaking with his dad other day.. all depended on result yesterday, be a bargain at £5/6M too! Such a good player"

So RVLP still cant cross lol.

In other news the earth is still round, the Pope is still Catholic and bears still shit in the woods

Remember RVLP's debut vs Norwich? He whipped in an absolute peach of a ball for Edwards to nod home. Thought we'd found a good'un at that point.

2016/17 - 43 appearances, 2 goals, 3 assists
2015/16 - 19 appearances, 2 goals, 2 assists
2014/15 - 40 appearances, 1 goal, 7 assists

Three seasons in the Championship and he averages four assists and fewer than two goals a season. He's a sham of a winger. Even if he weren't an absolute ninny personality-wise, I wouldn't want him back on a free on footballing grounds.

Edit: For the record Marshall managed two goals and four assists for us in 16 games this season.

By Contrast our Helder 40 appearances, 12 goals, 8 assists and that's in a dreadful side lol he would have had considerably more in that Huddersfield team.

And:

In addition, first team coaches Stuart Taylor and Rob Edwards, and Head of Sport Science Tony Daley, will also be leaving Wolves.

Updated the thread title. We'll start a new one when Nuno is announced.

Good. Suspect Nuno will be on a plane today for tomorrow's unveiling.

Wouldn't bother with Mountain, why pollute the academy players so early.

Inevitable once the story broke a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for Stoke and Liverpool games PL. That aside, didn't really pull up many trees. A couple of decent runs of form, coupled with one dreadful run. We stayed up and then went on the beach. Not too fussed about his departure tbh.

Tim Spiers...

April 8, Jeff Shi on Paul Lamber:
"He suits every requirement of leadership. I hope he can stay here for a long time."

May 30: Sacks him

I wonder how long Tim has had that one typed out for, waiting to post it at the very first chance :icon_lol:

A few people on Twitter have said he's been seen getting a tour of the training ground this morning.

Wolves statement

Coaching staff also leaving the club

Wolves and Paul Lambert have agreed to part company following a football review which took place at the end of the season.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Paul for his dedication and professionalism during his time at the club, which included some memorable victories, and wish him all the best in his future career.

In addition, first team coaches Stuart Taylor and Rob Edwards, and Head of Sport Science Tony Daley, will also be leaving Wolves with immediate effect.

As part of the coaching restructure, the club are currently in discussions with Pat Mountain regarding the possibility of him taking up a role within the Academy.

Tony and Rob have given many years of loyal and committed service to Wolves, and the club would like to thank them for their substantial contributions over a long period of time.

Along with Paul, all three departing members of the backroom staff leave with the club’s best wishes.

A further announcement on a new Head Coach and backroom team will be made in due course.

Forgive if you can the classless way that the thoroughly decent Kenny Jackett was sacked with the club openly flirting with Julen Lopetegui under his nose.

The "club" never did that.
