Paul Lambert Leaves Wolves

He hasn't been sacked though, he just knows he's going to be, hence his position. I disagree with you, I actually think pretending all is right in the world is the smart thinking do.
Look it could be true that he is pretending I just find it very hard to believe. Going live on TV on the largest sports news channel when you are on the brink just wouldn't make sense.

My personal opinion is that he has seen what we have seen (hence his "anything an happen in football" comment) but hasn't been told anything directly. Spiers commentary on SSN today has confirmed that we can ignore everything the E&S has said in the last week or so.

There were some signals that all was not well, but some could be passed as dialect.

The reality is noone knows not even Paddington (praise be upon him)

On what basis am I wrong? I would like to think I have a fairly decent understanding of contractual law considering is quite a large portion of my job, yet I don't mouth off and try to make others look stupid when these things are questioned.

I am sure you are a contractual law specialist, in which case I bow down to your superiority...

The bit where your comment refers to what Lambert should or could say whereas the original comment related to what Fosun should or shouldn't do. It isn't that you are wrong so much as that you are grasping the wrong end of the wrong stick.

Not to willy wave but I have 20 years PQE.

I must admit to be being somewhat confused by the situation. Some say that Lambert's position is untenable, yet Lambert says he is staying at Wolves. I await the outcome with interest.

Two things for me give us the best indication, the infamous retained list and where Lambert's car is. Surely someone could see if he's rocking up to molineux / Compton occasionally.

Fucking hell is this still dragging on?

Go

Stay

Just sort one or the other.

Bored now

If Lambert hadn't leaked that story to his buddy at the Telegraph we wouldn't even know there was anything to sort!
The football season isn't even over yet, our players are on their holidays and the new transfer window doesn't open till 1st July...There really is no need for panic or needing to know anything for me

True. I don't know whether its false hope, or a morbid sense of dread but this Lambert fiasco has got under my skin!

I've got to the stage where if something is going to happen then it will... I'm quite glad we have owners who generally don't seem to do things by knee-jerk reaction. After Lamberts "revelations" they could've just pulled the trigger on him with no real plan B. This way they can work in the background and find a solution be it Lambert with a grovelling apology or a better manager coming in. It is better than the chaos that has happened at Leeds over the last few seasons.

(by the way I really want to know soon!) ;)

Pmsl! I have to buy you booze for that. I chortled!

They're all on holiday. Mendes is at the height of his earning capacity and Jeff Shi is on the magic roundabout. Kev's probably told him that Ronan, Bright and Graham will deliver us. Mendes will sniff a buck in Hause and Costa and we'll just end up the same. No coach in their right mind would take that on given they have to find eleven players for about thirty million.

Yet we spent about 50% of that on one player a short while ago?

To coin a DW phrase this is just a 'casserole of nonsense'.

So Johnny. Do the honourable thing and correct me eh ??

Given the FPP and rough estimates of last seasons accounts how much has a prospective coach have to spend?

Hause has nothing to do with Mendes so he'd make absolutely nothing out of us selling him. FOSUN have proved that they will make funds available and it is in Jeff Shis interest to do what FOSUN expect (promotion sooner rather than later)

Okay how much has the new coach got to spend? And how many players do we need?

He has as much as FOSUN give him. We need a Keeper, a Central Defender, a Left Back and a Central Midfielder...A Striker who is a proven goalscorer will be nice too if we don't think a full pre-season will give us the old Dicko

FFP is spread over a three year period (or is it 4?) so as long as we are promoted in the next 2 seasons we can give the Football League the bad-finger like many other teams before us have

So how much has he got to spend? They took a massive hit last season. We fail, we get embargoed ...

------------------ New Keeper ---------------

Iorfa -------- New CB --- Hause --- New LB

--------------- Saiss ----- New Mid ---------

Costa/Marshall --- Cavaleiro ----- Graham/Zyro

------------------ Dicko/New Forward --------

Ronan, Bright, Gibbs-White plus whoever survives from our first XI from this season

The £13m we spent on Costa is being paid over the course of his contract. So we have spent about £3m on him so far. You can bet the Ivan deal is similar. Although the fees will add up to £27m we haven't actually paid that out yet. Another failure season and that money will come back to us via the sale of Costa and Ivan.
