Paul Lambert Leaves Wolves

just buy a better left back than Doherty (you could find a couple in League Two tbh).

Dan Jones and Jamie Reckord have been released and are available... It's ridiculous that I'm now considering the case for keeping Reckord those years ago. I just can't understand why we don't have a real left back. You'd probably have to go below the conference (probably substantially below) to find a team that doesn't have one!

I'd rather have a manager who understands the concept of attacking
I look forward to a manager who doesn't bring all 11 players back to defend a corner when you are losing 1-0.

That just seems to be the default tactic for the majority of managers in the Championship

Head of recruitment has left Middlesbro apparently. The plot thickens. Or maybe not...

Orta is a man who thought Rudy Gestede and Adlene Guedioura were good January signings for a Premier League team. I don't want him either.

If we've really looked at Middlesbrough since 2014 and thought "yes, that is the way we want to use our position as one of the wealthiest Championship clubs" then I'd be both very surprised and disappointed. They've never been any fun to watch whatsoever, there have been numerous meltdowns, shite signings, a bit of a bottlejob in 2014/15 and then the shambles that was this season.

Being better than we have been in the intervening period is neither here nor there really. I don't want Karanka/Orta's vision at all.

He wouldn't be my first choice either (come on mr silva!) , and I was massively unimpressed with the quitting/sacked/back again bit at the end of their promotion season, but there are plenty of far worse options out there that could end up here - the endless Zenga mkII options, pardew, woy, mclaren for example.

Still all going on I see - am away from Thursday eve till Monday for my Aunt's 90th birthday weekend & again from next Wednesday till the Monday after for my niece's wedding in Denmark

Going to forget all about this till after that is over - will hopefully be sorted by then & whoever we have in charge (still Lambert, Karanka, Silva or random other Portuguese manager) at least it will be settled whether that leads us into calm or stormy waters

I don't think it'll be karanka, if it was it would have happened by now or more substantial rumours would have come out

Wouldn't it be ironic if Lambert stayed after all this, could cost Britney his job....

Let's hope we're waiting for Huddersfield to be knocked out tonight and then we'll throw a huge pile of folding stuff at Wagner

I don't want Wagner, one overachieving season isn't enough evidence for me, see McGhee, Mark. Plus he comes across as a bit of a prick - Blues team selection, incident with Monk. Anyway he'll be off to Norwich if they lose tonight.

Could be a while yet according to Britneys latest article! Presumably it's a currently employed manager then?

It's a rehash of everything he's said previously. I feel I tiny bit sorry for him, he's expected to provide a daily update when there isn't an update to give.

The longer it drags on the more I think it won't be Karanka, which I'm happy about. Hopefully they are offering Silva a tasty deal to come here and we are just waiting on that.

We can hope.
