O'Neil aka GONe

There's basically two possible explanations.

The managers we've spoken to have said "fuck that" for working under Shi and our owners/management structure.

Shi/Hobbs have realised it'll be too expensive to sack him and have funds in January as well. Which should be utter bollocks but that's seemingly where we are with finances under Fosun.

I'm guessing it's a bit of both. All of it comes from the top down though.

FOSUN OUT.

this feels nailed on.
you'd have to give managers like Potter/Moyes some hope they can salvage the season and build something forward otherwise what's the point of talking to them other than to piss time away.
we've gone from ambitious and forward looking under Nuno to small time in very short time

Well it appears Shi and Hobbs are well past sleepwalking and have gone into a full blown coma. Everything The Architect posted rings true as it is clear to all that we need a miracle to avoid relegation. Sticking with a manager who has one win in about 24 games and week after week fields teams that are incapable of the basics will not provide that miracle.

Well Mourinho did say his next team will be one that doesn't play in European competitions...

To be fair there's probably more chance of him managing an estate agents than there is of us appointing him.

Are they waiting for Shi to be back in the country to release the severance funds?

Probably couldn't do any worse at least he has an identity/way of playing (not that you'd want to play that way). Whereas under O'Neil the only identities we've had are to not bother defending, vacate central midfield as often as possible, commit as many individual errors as you like (as long as you run around mostly aimlessly for 90+ minutes), make baffling tactical decisions as often as possible and then compound them by making even more baffling substitutions, usually after it's too late to have any positive effect anyway.
