What a club, relegation is a certainty now just a case of seeing if we can beat our lowest total of 25 points.
New manager is probably only getting 20 games to reverse this, good look with that.

I wouldn’t read too much in to it. He was making a wider point that as a club, we’ve flogged or lost some very good/important players and we haven’t replaced them with the same quality. He mentioned Costa, because most of the wider football fanbase will know he is is, and Moutinho, who went on a free. So I think he was making a bigger (and fair) point.

The fact we have openly told our journos we are looking does give a sense that they know it's done but the "carry on for now" stuff is bollocks.

It's like the events after Lage are preventing them from doing what they need to do. Essentially fucking useless.
 
I think the situation we're now in with GON shows that there is literally nobody of any substance within the footballing side of the club that can even take over for just a few games.

And of course, nobody of any substance on the non-footballing side either, to give anybody confidence they'd be capable of appointing a replacement within those few games.

They are scared stiff of repeating the post Lage farce, so they've introduced a new one instead.
 
I hope the atmosphere at the weekend is apocalyptic, but I imagine it'll just be one of resignation, unless the game itself properly goes to shit

I hope the majority of it is aimed at Jeff Shi & Fosun. We know Gaz is done, so no point in barraging him with abuse for 90 mins.

I cannot believe how lightly Shi has got off. When was he last seen at a game?

I know we’ve had a ban on calling people the c word. But it might be the only option on Saturday.
 
How many games was the change over between Lage and Lop? 7? Reckon Shi can top that?

Davis got 4 points from 7 games. We are effectively already one game into the equivalent period.

There's basically two possible explanations.

The managers we've spoken to have said "fuck that" for working under Shi and our owners/management structure.

Shi/Hobbs have realised it'll be too expensive to sack him and have funds in January as well. Which should be utter bollocks but that's seemingly where we are with finances under Fosun.

I'm guessing it's a bit of both. All of it comes from the top down though.
