O'Neil aka GONe

Makes you wonder what their end game is and what is the actual tipping point is for him to get shit canned
I can see folk protesting on the Waterloo Rd next game if (when) we loose
Might be that they're going into the ghost club stage and we'll become Swansea as the Accountant said. Make as much money off sales as they can in the summer and run us on the bare minimum until they find a buyer.

So… what’s the particular contract situation with cancelling a Direct Debit in this case anyone?

I'm not a lawyer, but it's effectively pay as you go. They'll void your tickets, write you a couple of shitty emails, but I'd be surprised if they came after you. Could damage your credit rating though I'd have thought

If there is even one teeny weeny green shoot poking through that suggests that GO can turn this around I’m all ears. The reality is we’ve gone from plucky but disorganised losers to a shambolic mess where every player on the pitch last night looked out of form and performed below the level you hope and expect.

Without Dawson there isn’t one leader on the pitch, both keepers look like rabbit in the brightest headlights known to man, there’s absolutely no structure to our midfield player and we are totally reliant on Cunha up front. Hobbs is backing him in part because there’s no obvious improvement but more because he gave him a four year deal at the same time as he signed a pile of players nowhere near ready for the PL (Forbs, Rodrigo, Lima, Johnstone) to go with dross like Guedes and Bellegarde. All this with top six prices. We are beyond a joke and sadly it’s on us the fans.

I hope the crowd turn on Hobbs and GO on Saturday. Shi will undoubtedly not be there.

Could get my lawyer to lead on being missold. I mean, I liked those angry paper bag masks the Giants fans were wearing* on Sunday, but the best part of £2K is a lot to pay purely to waste a day a fortnight for my entire family just to go and be angry. Even in a paper bag.

*My build on the design would be to omit the eye holes. Would improve the matchday experience.

Could be everyone they’ve spoken to has told them to do one when they’ve been told the plan is to come 17th each season and you’ll need to sell to buy.
Jeff Shi is destroying the club from the top down, ghost club status is coming up.

A drift from apathy to anger on this, apathy to the thought of second tier football. I’m no snob and know we’ve been there a lot in the past 40 years. Nevertheless being there as a ghost club makes me think why bother. By some miracle we go back up we’ll just have a season like this one then go back down. Basically there’s nothing to be motivated about.
Anger is towards Shi and Fosun for their brain dead/arrogant policy and self destruction.
Most fans with a brain could’ve foreseen this scenario but not Jeff, Matt Hobbs and his backing of Gaz way to early and not realising he was out his depth in May.
The Players who have very little fight and go hiding at the first sign of adversity.

Fuck off Fosun you clueless wankers.

I was going to say ‘fuck this, I’m done’ but I know I won’t be. Wolves will still be there ruining my weekends :ROFLMAO:
I do wonder what the future looks like if we become the much discussed Swansea, particularly at Shi prices. There are some fans who'll buy STs irrespective of the situation let's say they number 10k after the first year of finishing 15th. After that though who pays money for games? The odd local derby, matches over Bank Holidays, but Preston on a Tuesday in Feb we'd be on crowds in their teens k wise

I think they tried in as much as they spoke to obvious upgrades who all told them to do one, so worked on GONs connection with the players being worth more than a comparable or marginally better manager in the Cooper mould. We.are.fucked.
I think it's pretty much this. No one is willing to accept the job or conditions.
They've also been burned by the experience with Davis previously.

They're hoping O'Neil has a bond with the players that gets "something". I do still think he has a positive relationship with the players. Any newcomer is likely to disrupt that.

It's the management equivalent of dave edwards imo. Decent enough person, probably a decent coach or number 2, but over promoted & being asked to do stuff he can't. In time he may develop that skill set. At the moment he doesn't & we're suffering for it. Can't understand some of the vitriol. Discussions of those above him is a separate issue.

It's going to be interesting/depressing to see how they price it next season if we do go down, best part of 800 for mine this year I wouldn't be renewing if they knocked even 200 off that in the championship. Albion fan at work reckons he pays 390 for his and his sons tickets combined.

Clubs have gone down and increased their prices.

We will start benchmarking against Sheff Wed.

If we stick at current prices or even £200 less you can guarantee there’ll be an Early Bird timed to finish before the fire sale of most of the squad. It will be the reverse of this summer when we made some early signings to give a little hope. Not a chance I’ll renew if Fosun are still here.
