New - The things that really annoy you

No, no, no. The correct answer to the sauce question is ketchup never, always brown, alternative is none.

"Brown sauce" is such a vague classification that it genuinely puts me off trying it.

King of sauces. Sure you can find HP or Daddies in the British sections over there.
Basically what I would call "steak sauce" IIRC. Tasty stuff if that's right.

Just the name makes me twinge. Lots of sauces are brown!

I went for an Indian meal years ago and was dubious about the chicken option so chose 'meat' instead. Made no sense upon reflection!

American versions taste different to ours I think.

"Steak sauce" is way thicker. If it's this kind of thing.

(Presume you have contacted them about naming rights)

I saw that sort of thing a lot at SE Asian restaurants when I lived in Jacksonville. Lots of specific proteins and then an option for "Meat", as well, which generally translated to "a little bit of everything".

HP is the king of brown sauces but Lea and Perrins is a good alternative.

On the contrary, my parents were sued by them.

I'll honestly try to remember to take a look when I'm at the grocer tomorrow. If it's in the same neighborhood as A1 and Pickapeppa sauce, I'll probably like it.

Couldn’t imagine a bacon/sausage/bacon/all of the above without brown sauce tbh.

Same with cheese on toast.

Wouldn’t ever order a pizza with pineapple on it but would eat it if put in front of me. Never really understood why it’s so divisive.

Dominoes is great. Anyone saying otherwise obviously hasn’t had “the cheeseburger”. Could get it delivered to my house in 25 mins. Not even more expensive than small pizza shops given every pizza has 50% off.

My Dominos knowledge is way outdated. On our road in South Manchester in 1999 there was a Dominos and there was locally run Pizza Champion. The Dominos was appalling, greasy and salty as fuck, and Pizza Champion was incredible and about 50% of the price. So never had a Dominos since.

I'd very rarely order pizza as a takeaway tbh. Pay for the top end pizzas in Co-Op (for example) and you won't spend £15 between two of you, they're superb and it's not like you're making any effort to cook it. 10 minutes and you're done.

No, no, no. Brown sauce on fried (or any other sort of) egg all the way.
I’m a big fan of brown sauce (Daddies is the king) but I love ketchup on a fried egg sandwich.

Hot dogs confuse me as I like sausages with brown sauce in general but put ketchup on hot dogs.

No, brown sauce and hot dogs don't go. Wrong taste and texture of the sausage.
