New - The things that really annoy you

We seem to have a Heinz product in our fridge, called SaucySauce.
Tomato sauce and Mayo blended together.
No idea where it came from...

In Asia you can find mayo + yellow corn pizzas.

Not sold on that idea tbh.

There's a Domino's opposite where I used to work, they didn't have a change account then and always got their change from us. I had free Domino's whenever I wanted it. Which was not often at all...

Some la-di-da posh places put capers on pizza. I don't mind them, they're okay. But what the fuck are they!? 🤔😂

I note that Alan has questioned “Brown Sauce” as sounding a bit dodgy, but no issue raised with “Hot Dog” - Americans!

On my stag in Berlin we went to this urban space called Suicide Circus and one of the food places did these White pizzas - I'd never heard of them, but they are pizzas with no tomato sauce base, bechamel or egg and cream sauce as a base instead.
Absolutely gorgeous, loads of garlic and cheese and herbs.
Totally different to normal pizza but really nice.

You know… this is fair tbh.

No idea of the origin of “hot dog” as the term. Seems weird now that you mention it.

Just got in made a bacon roll, couldn't find usual daddies brown so added this, now I'm converted

They were originally called Daschund sausages. And they’re served hot. Surprised I understand as I’m not an American. Ultimately though their origin is German, the sausages themselves made their way to America from Germany. There are quite a few theories as to why the term “dog” was used, all deriving from the Daschund name obviously.

Flammkuchen I believe they're called. Curiously German dish I've had in Bavaria and Berlin.

Never seen it anywhere else.

Tarte flambée, from Alsace Lorraine using 'white cheese' or crème fraîche.
