New - The things that really annoy you

Let's not say things we can't take back.

iTunes is possibly the worst bit of software I've ever used and I worked in an office that was still using Lotus Notes in 2010.

How are we defining good and bad here

Pah, we were still using it in 2017 in my last job.

I see Jeremy Clarkson has managed to combine the worst of his character with the editorial brilliance of the Sun and got an article published where he states he hates Meghan Markle so much he dreams of her being dragged naked down the streets whilst people throw actual shit at her.

Apparently all people of a similar age (not sure if he means actual or mental age) think the same

Quite possibly the most batshit contrary wum’ish post you’ve ever made on here. That’s quite some going.
Didn't see anything wrong with it at the time, our company had a nice little IT support function built into it that worked really well and I really like the ability to place attachments mid-email within the text, helped make sure people were picking up the right document to follow the commentary.

Imagine it stacks up very badly these days compared Outlook in terms of Teams integration but that wasn't an issue in 2013.

They've followed it up today with Tony Glasgow Parsons saying he prefers Andrew to Harry

As a software engineer, I feel qualified to say that most software is shit just in general.

By and large, all of this stuff is held together by the binary equivalent of twine and paperclips.

Right in 1983 when the makers of the film Wargames decided to sell off the IT once the film had been finished I think the company I work for brought it, I think it's from the same manufacturers as Ceefax?

Alan currently googling "what the fuck is a Ceefax"

There’s a bit on the Hannah Fry tech programmes current series where ceefax was responsible for the first online shopping, you could order your shopping from supermarkets and snacks from Greggs all through your tv remote.

I.T Dept (or a German I.T Dept based at a popular car manufacturer)

Been in my new role since the beginning of September and need access to a few apps and webpages to do my job properly.
Couple of months spent saying yes access is being sorted then all of a sudden some movement last week and I get access to 1 of the things I need. The important one as it has the apps I require to start getting the other access..........only problem nothing assigned to me. I am greeted with a blank page. A week later and that is still being looked at.

I had to look up who the eff Ladbaby was. So basically he's a bit like Weird Al but keeps most of the money for himself?

A system that incentivizes greed producing success for greedy people?

I’m shocked, personally.
