New - The things that really annoy you

I think its still pretty much premium in the states too
Their prices are bananas. Food is good but not that good. I ain’t paying Red Robin prices for not Red Robin.

Wendy's looks like your "standard" alternative to McDonald's in the US? Looks fucking shit though.

I remember Wendy's having an outlet in leeds in the mid 90s. IIRC they were pretty good. They shut their franchises, but have recently reappeared in the UK.

Just had meatballs, peas, mash, and gravy at IKEA. £4.95 and much nicer than if I'd gone round the corner for McDonald's.
Costco do some decently priced food with massive portions too.

Is it Wendy's that does the square burgers?
We.eat there when we are in the departures lounge at Orlando airport. It's OK, more like Burger King than McDonald's.

If we are talking US burgers, In-N-Out Burger is the best I've had.
Smash burgers are the way to go in general.

I’m pretty sure a Big Mac meal was £2.98 when I was at Uni. With a free cheeseburger thanks to my NUS card too of course.
Our school offered NUS membership (so we were under 18 at the time), we all diddled the DOB and then the school laminated them. It worked more than 50% of the time for the clubs in wolves that actually bothered to check ages.

Yeah, I had a fake NUS when I was 16/17. It also worked for me in most places in Wolves despite the fact that I probably looked about 12.

Didn`t have fake I.D.s in my day. Got done for drinking under age in the Garricks Head. Police raid.

Started drinking in pubs when I was 16, always surprised I got served as I was probably younger looking than my age, could always get served in the Red Lion and Crown in Sedgely, plus the Safari in Dudley.
First time I was questioned was on my 18th birthday in Ma Pardoes.

My friend and I were serving behind the bar at The Tavern In The Town in Queen Square when we were 17.

Democratic cities in the USA that just stink of weed. Boston, Philadelphia, to a lesser degree New York. I'm no puritan, but it just gives me a headache

The stink of weed is prevalent in loads of places.
Even in our middle class, middle of the road, middle England area I often detect it just walking around our neighbourhood.
Tbf it's no worse than being enveloped in a cloud of rhubarb and cloudberry vape smoke.

Crappy external HR firms not understanding that freelancers don't just have an HR department you can phone up and grab a reference from. It's obvious from my CV what I've been doing for 14 years.

You've had my tax returns, invoices, bank statements matching invoices, personal references if you want to go and check them. I can't give you anything else. It's properly putting me on edge, I'm now talking myself into the job offer being withdrawn and it's messing with my bipolar, I'm getting no sleep, I can't eat properly.

Fuck you, Sterling.

Any former clients that will give you a testimonial or two, might do the trick?

All HR departments are useless, outsourced HR firms are worse

Are you on LinkedIn? You could ask for some client testimonials.

Did you setup a ltd company? I've got a feeling you said you were a sole trader

Yeah, I'm a sole trader.

They've got everything, I've explained absolutely every aspect of what I've done, including bits where I couldn't work and I'm fine with sharing that, that's just the way it is.

And it'll probably all be fine. But it's killing me.
