I'm with @Johnny75 on the Martins train. Lop is too much of the same and we need to play a more attacking style

I want a manager who is going to win games. Not too arsed about the style. Nuno was a defensive manager and “we’ve never had it so good in over 40 years”.

I don’t think we can be too fussy on style in our current predicament.

Agreed. I'd rather have Lopetegui over Martins any day, I'll take the body of work with Lopetegui and regardless of style we'd have a much smaller chance of actually going down unde him than Martins and for now our main and sole aim is to stay in the league.

Not necessarily if was being delayed due to him mulling over the decision maybe but seems like he’s got some loose ends to tie up before coming over.

I can see him turning us down.

Me too. It'll be the managerial equivalent of those transfer windows where we faff around with a top target who isn't really interested and at the last minute end up with nothing or looking at someone way lower on our list.

I'm just glad Davis didn't get a good result yesterday, at least it might remove the temptation for Jeff to Terry Connor it

"Wolves face wait to appoint former Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui as the Spaniard attends to a family matter"

May as well hire Steve Madeley

His Dad is 90 and has a few health issues (as you would at 90).

We need a new man in pronto. This team without a manager loses to Forest next weekend, guaranteed

Why would Lopetegui turn us down? I'm not sure he has many better options unless he wants to wait for Rodgers to be sacked and hope Leicester want him.

Well, he's done it once before.

He could take a few months out to recharge his batteries and there'd be plenty of options in multiple countries for him, guaranteed. Jorge will get him in somewhere.

Maybe Balague was right and he just wants time away from the game.

My preferred choice would be Ruben Amorim. Younger and with a great win %.
I don't think he is a Mendes man either.
However I think he has already ruled himself out?

Yep. Zero interest in leaving Sporting during the season.

We do but equally we don't want the wrong one (again).

If Lopetegui has indicated its all good but needs to sort out stuff before signing, then we can afford to wait a few extra days rather than saying soz got to move on Juley oh and do you have the phone number for Rafa.

Would want the answer this week though and hopefully targets #2 & 3 are involved I'm some sort of agent talks.
