New Manager Search *BACK ON*

That's where my research got me in 2016 anyway...

They must have decided that getting rid of the larger characters in the dressing room would fix the problem. Coady, Boly, Saiss, Ruddy having a contract offer withdrawn,

Wasn't ever going to work though as we have at least Neves, Moutinho, Jonny, Podence and Raul who are probably less gregarious but felt the same.
He basically came our that Neves was up for sale and he hardly came out fighting Moutinho's corner for a new contract.

All seems to have gone quiet on the manager front past couple of days...

I was half expecting Lopetegui to be papped in the crowd today, but no such luck.

Next three games are against the team directly above us, and the two teams below us... Need the right man in situ early next week

Nine points would be fine.

But I am not on drugs right now so won’t hold my breath for more than two. I don’t miss the Championship one bit, but suspect we will be getting reacquainted next year. Such a shame, but there is still part of me which holds out some hope. Leicester are still below us but have turned things round…. If we manage the same with a new manager then game on for survival….. going to be a tough season either way….

Strap in people…

Been reading and listening to pieces about JL and have come up with the following pros and cons, nothing that hasn't already been mentioned, just in one list. Some may disagree on some of the points.

Pros
Experienced and at times successful including until recently in his latest job

Well respected, so you'd hope that translated to the dressing room straight away

Would be a high profile appointment

Spent a lot of his career developing younger players

Better than anyone else we are likely to attract profile wise

Cons
Looked drained towards the end of his time at Sevilla

The phrase possession for possessions sake or a variation of it comes up a lot as does a lack of goals

Not experienced in English football (can't say this bothers me, but I know it does others, so I've put it on)

From the Mendes stable (others may see this as a pro)

Been a couple of decades since he worked at the wrong end of the table which at least to begin with is where he'll find himself.

I think on balance I'm out due to the combination of potential fatigue, the style of football and needing to break the Mendes link, 3 things which I appreciate may not bother others, but they do me. Obviously what that doesn't mean is appoint the next person on his list

If I am a manager that Wolves are interested in then I am asking them about January transfer plans as a condition for taking the role. If they select someone to work with what we have then I'd be concerned.
