Moutinho. Don't really think there's any competition.

5 foot seven of football heaven wins hands down. He is magnificent.

I didn't understand how good Moutinho was before he came to Wolves. The term Rolls Royce of a footballer should have a picture of Moutinho next to it.

Best player I've ever seen at Wolves

As did I. I'd back him over any keeper I've ever seen (even Schmeichel) for dominating the area.

But Rui is something else. You have to watch him (especially from behind the goal) to see how he makes the complex look simple. He doesn't make Hollywood saves because he doesn't have to. But when called upon he can. That offside one against Espanyol was just ludicrous.

Brilliant, brilliant keeper.

My son is a keeper in Norwich’s youth program - his coaches say to watch Rui’s footwork because it’s world class. That’s the reason he makes everything look easy (along with his positioning of course), because he just moves so smoothly to be in the right place rather than having to make huge dives.

Moutinho. Not just the most complete Wolves player, he's the most complete Asian player ever in the PL.

Is he at his peak? I would say he is just passing it! He has been brilliant for us but had over 100 caps before he pulled on a wolves shirt. As an example Rinaldo is doing a fantastic job at Juve but is also past his peak.

Operating at his peak to me means he is in his best form and is unlikely to do better than now. That to me is Jimenez.

Love watching Rui. It's almost like he is clairvoyant, the way he is usually in exactly the right place at the right time...

Patrício has a slight weakness with his kicking, Moutinho (partly due to our system) doesn’t score enough for the top class midfielder that he is, Jimenez holds the ball up, has ground skills, reasonably quick, good in the air, scores goals.

For his position he is the most complete for me.

Boly is utterly immense, probably the best defender I've ever seen for Wolves. But my vote has to be Japan Moutinho.

I've gone for Moutinho too. Cool under heat, neat and tidy. The sign of a good player is when they choose the best option, the best percentage. Very, very rare he doesn't.
I put Coady in the same bracket, tremendous reader of the game - providing it is in front of him. Great accurate, inciteful passer too.
Neto is my big hope to become something really, really special.

Moutinho. Not just the most complete Wolves player, he's the most complete Asian player ever in the PL.

Nope, someone's gonna have to explain that one to me....

I'm guessing it refers to the thread title on the day we signed him where a certain poster's autocorrect changed his name to Japan Moutinho?

Ah, of course!

Also given the thread starter's notorious love for Matt Doherty, the fact that his name appears in this poll is not only mind blowing but a testament to the resurrection of his career as orchestrated by Nuno... Fair play to Matt, he really is worthy of consideration on this list.

As DW has said, much depends on your definition of 'complete.' If you take it to mean 'players making the absolute most of his ability' then MD is probably who you should vote for. I really admire the way he's turned his career around
