Molineux Extension

I see Asda & Sainsburys have said they will look to sell around 150 stores should they be allowed to merge.

With the new shiny Sainsburys in Wolverhampton I reckon the Asda by Molineux could be on that list. Hope Wolves are all over that should it happen

Mates wife works at that asda, the staff are under the impression it's a done deal that it'll shut, and wolves will have the land ,either for expansion or parking

A much bigger footprint would help with the stadium expansion

Only if we rebuild the whole thing like Spurs have.

The land can be used for parking or building of a Venue for gigs/conventions etc maybe even a Wolves run Supporter pub or just a big W88 Casino...

Hotel / Casino / Parking / Space to move the route of Jack Hayward Way a bit to fit around how the new build will be. I think a complete next door re-build a la Spurs is actually unlikely, but the delay on doing anything until next summer gives Fosun the opportunity to explore that option. With the extra land you could build one hell of a lot of ground and then use the space where the current south bank stands for all the peripheral niceties once a 60-65k ground is up.

60-65k would be way too big, we don't need that much.

Aim big....we will fill it when we win the league each season, win the FA Cup each season and are playing Champions League each season

Wolves ay we

Rail seating had arrived where I sit (S4). In this block there are now extra seats as a seat 91a has mysterious appeared two guys behind me who sit in 91 and 92 now have a space between them. Ive got a feeling 30 odd season tickets will now come available (if its the same all the way up the stand).

I have no complaints about the seating and you get the rail to lean on, which is good as I approach my late 50's I dont mind a lean.

I'm starting to think that this isn't happening for the end of the season.

I just can't see it happening with the time frame, they should have been in for planning by now, but theres been nothing, no application, no update, nothing.

Apart from meeting with planning lawyers for the council that I know happened over six months ago.

Very good article from Tim II on the Athletic, notionally about the subway:

https://theathletic.co.uk/1302254/2019/10/21/an-iconic-part-of-wolves-soul-or-a-stinking-walkway/

Includes this nugget:

it’s perhaps no surprise that no plans have yet been submitted to get the project off the ground, with so many facets to take into account. The Athletic understands that work won’t begin at the end of this season, as originally hoped.

Have to say Tim's articles are so much better than the shite he put out for the E&S

I wonder if he's read my comments ;)- there isn't enough time to procure a Contractor in the current market without having already got to the planning stage. Its sort of what I do.

I do wonder how much this Bridge has to do with it, I don't think Fosun would take kindly to the likely 'contribution' that the Council would require.

The Steve Bull desperately needs doing. It's a nightmare getting in/out of the stand.

I still wonder if Fosun have a hankering for a new purpose built stadium elsewhere.
