Man City (H) 25/8 Build-Up Thread

Tim gave him a 7. Said he was back to normal after his one "off day" last week. I actually thought Doc did pretty well. It was clear from early on that Pep was targetting him as a weak link, and he did well to deal with it. Chapeau to the Doc.

Also, he was clearly in trouble after that clash of heads. Ref at one point asked him if he was okay as his legs were like jelly, and Matt clearly signalled he was fine and was playing on. That was brave stuff.

I don't often give him credit, but he did very well yesterday in my opinion.

He struggled at times with Sterling and Mendy both getting forward, but you'd expect that. As did Jonny with B. Silva at times.

Other than that he stayed very disciplined in holding his position and rarely got forward until nearer the end of the game.

We should have subbed him after that clash of heads. He spent 10 mins struggling with it. Fail from our medical team on that, regardless of what Doc was saying.

Anybody know if the bloke in the North Bank upper is ok, he got carried out early on and looks like they put the defib on him. They were working on him a long time in the bar area.. Hope hes ok.

Totally agree. Medical teams and ref should be ashamed of themselves for that. You don't shake off a concussion and that's clearly what it was.
