Loan Watch 2022/2023

Jackson said: “Giorgio and his coaching team have done a great job of looking after our loan players and integrating a lot of different nationalities into their team.

“We thank them for the work they have done, especially with Sang-bin, as the significant financial return that we have on this investment is a credit to everyone at Grasshoppers.”

Even if Silva stays at Wolves he'll likely be second choice at best. Put a fee on his head and see if anyone is willing to pay it. £30m is about right for a decent young striker.

I can't actually find what we paid for him? Let alone the selling fee.
£1.5m (no idea if that fee includes add ons or was the total fee but reading the Wolves statement it probably means the initial fee was small)

Sold for £2m and probably a sell on clause.

I wonder if Grasshoppers put any sort of clause in to have gained from the sale, the way Hulesca did on the Mir sale.

The more I think on it, whatever you feel about Hwang, the more I feel that Fabio openly laughing at him last season was a big red flag.

Opting to stay in the Dutch league next year would show me that he doesn’t think he’s good enough to have an impact in the PL.

But Some people seem to be back to worshipping him just because he’s scored a few goals in farmers leagues. He simply has to be here start of next season and show whether he’s any good or not, and if he can’t get in this team then he’s got no hope. Loaning him out so he’s still no use in season 4 would make the deal an even bigger shambles than it already is.

People are worshipping him because they’re desperate tbf.

I know I'm a mug, but I've still got half hope he'll be a passable striker, in a Danny Ings kind of way
