Loan Watch 2016-2017

Reid has been sent back as his loan has come to an end.

27th September.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell
(Sheffield United) - Played the full game and helped T'Blades keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers. Seems to be becoming a bit of a star for them now having been compared to...wait for it....Chris Morgan.

James Henry (Bolton) - Played the full game and sounds like he should have had a hat-trick against Rochdale, with 3 or 4 decent chances. Instead Bolton lost 1-0. Shame.

Aaron Collins (Notts County) - Came on for the last 20 minutes in a 2-0 win at Exeter and made little impact. Being kept out of the team by Jon Stead's imperious form at the moment. Liam McAlinden played for Exeter and, as usual, couldn't find the net.

1st and 4th October.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell (Sheffield United) - Played the full game in a 1-1 draw at Fleetwood. Gifted a goal away with an atrocious back pass that was intercepted but then made amends by popping up with a glancing head in the 93rd minute to salvage a point. Quite a day for the EEL. Given the night off tonight.

James Henry (Bolton) - Subbed off after 68 minutes after failing to make an impression in a 2-0 defeat at home to Oxford. He did have Bolton's best chance and seems to be playing off their two forwards. Also played the full game tonight, providing the corner for the winner vs Blackpool.

Aaron Collins (Notts County) -On the bench to see the game vs Morecambe postponed after 10 minutes.

Connor Hunte (Stevenage) - No match for Stevenage on Saturday but Hunte played the full game of tonight's 2-2 draw with Brighton in the Checkatrade. Was involved in much of the attacking play and contributed to their first goal, forcing the keeper into a spilled save that led to a tap-in for a team-mate.

Anthony Breslin (Tamworth) - No game for Tamworth at the weekend and Breslin has now returned to Wolves.

Ben O'Hanlon (Nuneaton Town) - No game for Nuneaton.

EEL couldn't play tonight rather than got a night off. Played v Chesterfield in the 1st round of games so was cup tied....and even though he couldn't play he was also suspended due to a red card in that game.

O'Hanlon & Reid both sign for Telford on loan until January

Conference North? Probably where they'll both end up long term, can't see either getting close to a serious pro career (mind you I said the same about Jamie Reckord and he's done sort of OK for himself)

8th October

Ethan Ebanks-Landell (Sheffield United) - No game due to the international break.

James Henry (Bolton) - Could have had a hat-trick in the first half at Swindon, guilty of wasteful finishing including a one-on-one fired straight at the 'keeper. Subbed on 60 minutes and Bolton went on to snatch a 1-0 win.

Aaron Collins (Notts County) -Came off the bench for the last 20 minutes at Mansfield with the game at 1-1. Made a nuisance of himself down the right side but Notts conceded two late, late goals to lose 3-1.

Connor Hunte (Stevenage) - Dropped from the squad again.

Ben O'Hanlon and Bradley Reid (AFC Telford United) - O'Hanlon played the full game at Bradford P.A., picking up a booking along the way. Reid came on for the last 10 minutes but made no impact. Finished 1-1.

Notlob fans absolutely hate Henry, he's been appalling for them.

Pissing off Bolton fans? Henry has just become a Wolves legend.

Surprised by Hunte's lack of progress. Really hasn't kicked on from last year.

EEL scores for Blades.
The basketball coach at work used to coach EEL. Said he was one of the best basketballers he'd ever trained.

EEL the goal machine gets a second.

Sheffield United fans love him don't they?
