Ipswich have won a European trophy under Robson. Sheffield Wednesday have never been close to that.

Sure they have a big ground and could pull a big crowd in the top flight but Sheffield Wednesday are now irrelevant in big club discussions until they get back.

I don't see Ipswich as a big club like I do Wednesday. They had a big 4 years under Bobby Robson 40+ years ago
Their fan base would disagree but I tend to agree with you only ever had 26 top flight seasons in their history.
Not an original question, but who is the only club who voted for the PL, but have never played in it?
Notts County

First Clássico of the season coming up tonight at 8:15pm. Benfica should win, Porto have been incredibly lucky so far this season, they're bedding in a few key players and Conceição has been messing around with the formation at times as well.
Crazy game so far. 0-0, Porto down to 10 men. Conceição going absolutely apeshit on the sideline.

Yeah would have went with Notts County. I have this oddly clear memory of seeong Steve Cherry on football focus that year they were in the top flight, and remember beinf desperate to get his Panini sticker.

We just passed them on the all time Prem League table. We just hit 393pts to there 392pts. Which is at least interesting to me as the two teams have never coexisted in the Prem together.
I like shit like this... where do you find this kind of info?

Benfica win 1-0. João Neves absolutely brilliant.

Ha, I actually use this one purely because they correctly list them as Wimbledon! Coventry are the next ghost of my childhood who we need to pass. 409pts, so might sadly take us a while to close that.

As a Wolves fan I only consider tables that include pre-1992 football!
Yes, don't want to be mean to other posters, but I don't count PL records as records they are just manufactured for me. For instance the Hoo Har over Kane leaving so he won't break Shearer's PL record. For me Jimmy Greaves owns it as top flight goalscorer

I think it's great to have the data if you want to separate and drill down into the PL era... But it negates the true story of English football imo.

And you never see Man U and Liverpool fans discount their pre-'92 titles when totting up the honours!

Did that stat even include the 23 goals Shearer scored pre-Prem for Southampton?

Villa 3-0 up against Brighton after 25 minutes. Jason Steele doing his usual hologram job in goal.
