This isn’t a good look for the PL, and not just this result, one team keeps winning it, teams just happy to be involved for a year and take the money, sports washing, schizophrenic VAR.

Letting Newcastle hit you for seven is as pathetic as it gets.

SHU 7-0 down and still they have more players in the opposition box than we did at any time yesterday

This should have been the first double figure score in PL history

Am I being too much of a cheese eating surrender monkey to worry that I fear this score might be eclipsed on Saturday?

City don't tend to do that. Look at last season in both games they could have scored more, but just managed the game in the second half

Think it’ll be a comfy 3 or 4 they tend to rotate and take their foot of the gas come 60-70 minutes. It’ll be a none contest

Strongly agree with you. I don't find the Premier League an especially engaging competition these days. Highly predictable results, despicable ownership models, completely inconsistent officiating etc etc. The money thrown around by Chelsea in particular is really off putting.

And the teams 8th-ish to the bottom are largely gash. A decent coach, someone with actual experience, would have Wolves coasting.

Yep City 5 wins in last 6 years, that's exactly on par with PSG in the one horse La Ligue race, but of course Sky( & whatever Bt are called nowadays) will tell you PL is most competitive league in the world

I said something similar after City won the CL. It wasn't the majority feeling though, the quality of their play being seen as more important than who wins the league.

4 of those 5 PSG wins were by more than 10 points though, two of City's wins in the same period have been by a single point.

I agree with @HanDoJin and @Donegal Wolf posts, put it this way I view this Saturday in a similar way that I view an international break ie we’ve not got a game I know we’ve got one in a literal sense but the outcome is so obvious it’s pointless getting excited about it.
Dont get me wrong I want us in the PL as long as possible nevertheless the thought of relegation isn’t as dreadful as it was about 3 years ago.

Aye true enough, by same token Bayern have won 6 in row in same years & Dortmund in two of those got within 1pt & 2pts of them.
City are starting to dominate like PSG & Bayern.
Dortmund & Liverpool are like a really good middleweight in the ring with a top heavyweight, they are good enough to win the odd round & give them a bloody nose from time to time but eventually will get overpowered by the much bigger stronger opponent

I think both things are true, much like Utd under Fergie their dominance is manager related more than anything else, but that doesn't stop it being boring and unhealthy for the league imo. I'm not referring to their style of play as boring obviously

I find them a relentlessly boring turn off. There is literally no point in watching 95% of their games as it will be a slaughter.

I could watch some of their players all day.

If it wasn't for the fact he was destroying us, I would rewatch KdB's performance at Molineux over and over
