Very curious on thoughts here about the red card Curtis Jones has just received.

It’s a bit harsh and accidental nevertheless endangers the opponent you can see his shin bend back

Liverpool down to ten against Spurs. Gotta agree with Neville that it's harsh as he slips off the top of the ball. Which was my initial thoughts too. Had they shown the behind angle where it's obvious that his boot slips off of the ball then I think it's a yellow. Also doesn't help that when the ref arrives at the monitor it's frozen on Jones making contact with his ankle. Always going to prejudice the decision.

It’s not a howler not to give a red nor is it a howler to give a red so by that you probably stay with the on field call. Having seen it from behind I agree it’s completely accidental.

If Diogo didn't already have a yellow, do you think he'd have got one for that?
I think the line gets continuously and consistently muddied between a foul (a free kick) and a bad foul (A yellow, or another yellow.!)
it seems like once you've got a yellow, your next foul puts you in the bath.

The mentality is that "all is fair in love and war". Football == War and therefore the normal rules don't apply.

What this fails to take into account is that football exists within society, not the other way around.
