Barcelona have a good record of getting paid far too much money for average fullbacks, Junior Firpo at Leeds being another example. Nelson has definitely been better this season but we paid a massive premium on him just because of where we signed him from.

Watching one of the chances Palmer had just now was almost entirely because he was able to use the overlap as a decoy. In a system with wing-backs think it’s something we’ve got to do a lot better. We did try this more at United tbf but their system allowed it a bit better too.
