58 gone not even an attempt on goal in a game that if you win you move out the bottom 3 and have control of the situation on Sunday

Never mind a shot they’ve barely been out of their own half.

He's not the first manager to approach a game like this and he won't be the last. I know there's levels of 'keep it tight and don't take any risks' and this performance is pretty much at the bottom of the scale, but for a limited coach with a playing staff that's shot to pieces it was always going to be a variation of this performance. They may have more of a counter attacking plan in the last 20, but Smith knows he's finished at PL level unless he keeps them up and just forges some wank Alardici type reputation that's attractive as a firefighter for shit chairmen who don't know shit about fuck.

I dunno man, I'm usually all about pragmatism and the beauty of defensive football... This is really something else, though.

Thing is you play to your strengths. If nothing else I would back Leicester to score goals if you set up with at least a semblance of an attacking plan. They've scored as many as Villa in 7th and only three fewer than Man Utd in 4th. All this with Vardy having his worst season ever by a mile.

What he's got them doing here is leaning heavily on the bit they can't do.

Wonder if this will drift into Newcastle being happy with the point they need.

I'm not sure how CL seeding works now. Like are they 3rd seeds if they finish 3rd and 4th if they finish 4th? Or are Man Utd guaranteed to have a higher seeding because of their individual coefficient.

If it's the former then they should really go for the win.

Aye, but we saw with Nuno, anybody can defend with a back 5 and 3 DMs! Back to the 433 now so hopefully there'll be a bit more to them. I'm no Smith fan (I doubt even his kids are though tbf) but I probably dislike Leicester less than anybody else in the fight. Plus it's always funny when somebody gets absolutely battered but spawns a one nil win

Leicester are giving away chance after chance with no threat going forward. It’s hardly a gameplan for success in 99 out of 100 games, less so with their defence.

Fault is with the Leicester midfield Soumare, Ndidi, Tielemans offered zero quality in possession of the ball.

Given that Leicester are probably going down and will offloading a few, would Souter be an upgrade on Kilman/Collins or will we be looking at better?

Tends to always be coefficient doesn’t it ?
I know if you win the league then you're definitely #1 seed now which wasn't the case before. So if Dortmund beat Mainz next week and win the Bundesliga then Bayern will be Pot 2. But I don't know if that follows all the way down.

Hinchcliffe gets in his game by game pro Man City comment even when not they’re not playing

Only if we paid for him in negative pounds.
