Would he??

One of my big bugbears with Pep is that throughout his career he has used tactics that he can only get away with because his teams have always been miles ahead of the local competition (Barca, Bayern, City) in terms of talent.

We'll never know so it's moot. Pep is good, the GOAT even, but he can't walk on water.

Yes he would, he got Barça B promoted as his first job, it's where he shaped his philosophy and he really didn't have the best players.

His first Barça team was up against an obscenely talented Real and his Citeh team last season and the one before were on a par with Liverpool

People used to question whether Michael Schumacher would win in a worse car. He did at the start of his career but because he was the best he never needed to. But because he was the best he never lost either

I'd believe it when I saw it. That defense and all the GKs are just so piss poor for this level.

I tried reading about the Spanish Tercera once. It gave me a headache. So much going on.

Allardyce hasn't done even an acceptable job anywhere since Palace and he left them six years ago. He's just awful, such a lazy solution to a serious problem. Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt overall (and I don't want to, as I hate him), it's clear from numerous spells elsewhere that he needs time before results take an upturn.

Hopefully he never manages anyone ever again. He's a stain on football.

Don't disagree with any of that but they were going anyway so suppose they had nothing to lose apart from 500k. He's probably got them 1 more point that Gracia would have, be it looking irrelevant

We've stayed up by being pragmatic. You need the raw materials though, Leeds don't have it

At least when we got 1-0 ahead we offered something going forward the other way not the 10 men behind the ball crap.

I feel like there have definitely been periods under Lop that we've more or less camped everybody inside our own half. Maybe not by design, but it's happened.

Villa and Palace were the definition of sitting deep and defending the box. MM did it, Nuno did it, Lage did it, Lopetegui does it. Ironically yesterday was a game when we didn't really until injury time and that's the one that bit us

Well it should be a red, it's horrific and he knew full well what he was doing.
