He's won 10 out of his last 58 games...

Absolutely bluffing a career at this stage. They were totally spineless once they went 1-0 down tonight.

Didn’t say I think it’s a good idea. 😉

I do think that he will be perceived as a “sure thing” at that level.

Oh, I know. Perception is weird.

For the record Mick McCarthy won 15 of his final 58 games with Wolves, was perceived to be a total dinosaur and never managed in the Premier League ever again.

Was it Ipswich he rocked up at just after us?

Yep. They were rock bottom, we were about 15th or something, he beat us easily over Christmas and sailed past us once Saunders took over.

Also beat us to the playoffs in 2014/15 (though us not making it on 78 points is scandalous, someone might make it on <70 points this year!)

Aye, I remembered him starting out rather well there. Then the wheels fell off in a bad way and he’s been in a rut ever since, if my 24KB memory is right.

He should have finished a while ago. Final two seasons at Ipswich weren't very good - although he was never close to taking them down, and they went as soon as he left - mostly under Lambert as it happens! Overall he did a very good job there.

Really rubbish everywhere after that and he genuinely looks and sounds too old now. He should just enjoy retirement and do the odd punditry gig here and there.

Everton going down will lead to a financial implosion that makes Leeds 20 years ago look like the teddy bear’s picnic.
They're done I think. Even if they bear us it won't be enough. Hard to see them getting anything at Leicester.

I think Everton’s best chance is get an early goal and defend like their lives depend on it. If they can frustrate Leicester sitting deep they may just be able to hang on. The only problem is it’s hard to see them getting an early goal but if Leicester start like they did against us it will give them a chance.

Leicester starting OK(ish) against us but once we worked our way around their bizarre first half set up we were cruising. Naive of us to leave the space for their 4 forward players to break really and then we all know what happened. Second half their shape and formation was much better and they used that against Leeds too. I'm in agreement that Everton's hope is to spawn a goal and defend as yesterday proved that they haven't got it in them to chase a game.

I watched that live. Incredible run, albeit the defending was Roger Johnson-esque.
