Live Match Discussion 2017/18

Blonde only had two fixtures to confirm after the draw and she got them wrong. Stereotype.

Who do we all think is going down from the Premier League then? Just had a look through the fixtures and there are some potentially HUGE games between sides facing the drop, including:

West Ham v Southampton
West Ham v Stoke
Stoke v Palace
Swansea v Stoke

Albion are obviously fucked. Stoke aren't looking too healthy either - I think they've got too much to do and it'll hinge on their huge 6-pointers above. Huddersfield have a couple of winnable fixtures before 2 very tough games to end the season. West Ham have 2 MASSIVE home games (although will playing at home actually hinder West Ham after what happened last time?) alongside some very tough fixtures (think they've still got to play Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City). Southampton's run in also includes games against some of the top sides so I think it'll be between West Ham and Southampton for the final relegation spot.

18. West Ham
19. Stoke
20. Albion

Stoke and Albion are definites for me.

I'm going to pick Huddersfield as the final one but it's very tight indeed.

I think Wet Ham along with Stoke and Albion. Partly because it would serve the Bongo Brothers right and partly because the players look completely lost.

Yeah - I do wonder how much damage those 'protests' will have done? Those home games are so crucial for them and if the atmosphere is as poisonous as the Burnley match, it could be a huge problem for them.

I know it was against a L1 side but Southampton looked much better in the 2nd half yesterday. Last time I saw them, they were abject. New manager bounce?

I thought so too. Swansea look more organised at the moment too.

Saints need Austin back, Carillo looks bloody awful and Gabbiadini/Long have totally dried up in terms of goals.

I think they'll just about be ok.

Southampton and Stoke for me. Hughes to be the first manager to relegate 2 sides from the top league since Billy McNeil in the mid 80's. Huddersfield will be very close to it though, no point having winnable home games like last weekend if you don't win them.

Huddersfield, Stoke & Albion for me.

I'd like to see west ham go down, but I can't be that lucky to see all three of my disliked teams go down at once. I actually think Hughes will do ok at saints, they have some decent players and if he can get them scoring more then they should be ok.

I want West Ham,just because they'll be majorly screwed, and the porno dwarves won't enjoy having to put money in rather than trousering it (allegedly),and there's bound to be some stadium clauses over relegation as well, and mostly because of the whole big club entitlement,West Ham way,we won the World Cup bollocks the fans spout

There's no allegedly about it. They sold Upton Park with a book value of about £40m (which is pretty low) to what appears to be a shell company with no trading history. One day later it was sold on to a property company for £60m.

They've also charged West Ham nearly £15m in interest on their loans to the club since they took over.

They pay Brady nearly £1m a year, not out of their own pocket.

Leeches.

Southampton, Stoke, and Albion. Although I maintain that with Stoke's squad they should be nowhere near going down. Ditto Southampton.

A lot of shit ownership biting clubs in the ass this year.

Stoke have a rubbish squad. Butland and Shaqiri (who can't be arsed staying in shape, and is always in and out at the best of times) apart, I wouldn't want any of their players here.

Only just watched the Bolton V Villa highlights. No idea how the Bolton left back doesn’t get sent off. Horrendous tackle.

Huddersfield, Stoke and WBA down for me.

Huddersfield, Stoke, and West Brom get relegated. Southampton will pull out, as Swansea has done, and I think West Ham will as well.

WBA are gone for me- totally shot.
Stoke are heading that way. And at a fast rate. I cannot see them surviving.
West Ham for me. They have a real vitriolic atmosphere around the place at the moment and thats the wrong thing at the wrong time, with Chelsea Arsenal Man city Southampton and Stoke to play on their run in. Last Match for the hammers is at homew to Everton and BFS. No love lost there then!

Same here. West Brom/Ham and Stoke

Same here. West Brom/Ham and Stoke

Would be happy to see those go (though WB have realistically already gone) - would like Southampton to survive as thats probably the easiest (& cheapest) away game for me

Not especially fussed about Stoke, though West Ham going would be karma for Gold, Sullivan & Brady

Realistically Albion could finish on fewer points than us in 2011/12. They need 6 from 7 games to better it and they play Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs in three of the seven.

Think Southampton will scrape it, they have Everton and Bournemouth who have little to play for and discontent with Fat Sam is already building, although I'd like Huddersfield to stay up and Hughes and Pardew have their reputations damaged sufficiently that clubs think twice.

Huddersfield
Stoke
Albion
