4-0 after 40 minutes and it could easily have been 8-0.

And 4-3 after 53 minutes! Insane match.

I was going to watch it after you made your first post on it. Damn!

Freiburg had a really silly spell, you're 4-0 up, just keep the ball. Reminiscent of us vs Leeds at home last season.

Watching the MLS All-Star game vs. Tottenham, Spurs are shambolic at the back and defensively in general. Bentaleb and Vertonghen the worst offenders (Vert has been genuinely appalling).

On this evidence Pochettino may not want to get too comfortable in London because I can't see them challenging anyone in the top 5 if they don't improve drastically.

Given their respective forms in preseason, Manchester United will run Tottenham absolutely ragged on opening day.

Friendlies mean nothing.

Tell that to the Wolves specific threads!

Besides there has to be something said when you lose to a team that had never trained together before yesterday.

Aberdeen look pretty poor pre-season. Just beaten 2-1 away by Kazakhstan's Kairat Almaty in the Europa League and looking nothing like the team from last season. Pretty standard from Aberdeen, one good season and then everything starts to fall apart. No consistency.

Sampdoria not covering themselves in glory this evening in the Europa League. 58 minutes gone and 0-3 down to Vojvodina of Serbia.

West Ham 2-1 Astra
Southampton 2-0 Vitesse

Southampton looking very comfortable against Vitesse.

Poor first 20 but Pelle took his goal really well and they haven't looked in trouble since.

West Ham back to 2-2.

Ogbonna scores an own goal to make it West Ham 2-2 Astra.

3-0 Southampton. Tie over.

Sampdoria lost 4-0. Walter Zenga leading his team over to the fans to apologise. Now the President is going over to the fans :D

Arsenal XI: Cech, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Ozil, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Monreal, Cazorla, Bellerin, Coquelin.

Chelsea XI: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Ramires, Willian, Hazard; Remy.

Great finish Oxlade-Chamberlain. Not sure about the defending though, don't show someone inside in the penalty box.

Sitter from Ramires. Four yards out and missed the target.

Yep, very silly but a quality finish. The switch of play by Ozil prior was excellent too.

Arsenal deserve the lead but have looked a little shaky since at times. A decent game so far

Owen rightly ripping into Remy for a bout of Kenny Miller offsideitis. No excuse for it.
