Still can't believe Mapou flopped so hard in England. He was exceptional in Montpellier's title season. Being played at left back surely didn't help but still.

He probably started less than half a dozen games at left back tbh. Ultimately he just looked like a liability too many times, when Mike Williamson is seen as the safer option then you really have a problem.

I know he didn't play there all the time, just noting that being played there certainly didn't help the perception around him.

Anyway as you say he was nothing like good enough after the move.

Yes, whenever i saw newcastle he was messing things up big time..pardew saw that and shoved him off

Didn't look particularly forceful, almost like he was just wanted to step over the ball to shield it from Lucas but any idiot could see he was never getting there quick enough to pull that off so would've pulled out of the idea, he just ploughed right on and trod on his ankle instead. Almost like he'd just got bored of playing and tagged himself out.

Think you're right about the level of force, the way it looked to me was that if there had been even a little bit involved you'd be looking at a compound fracture of epic proportions.

Not bad for a two month period.

Agree that it is annoying..and more annoying if you record the other..still goals will pling up on top of the match youre watching from the other game
