LIVE! Match discussion 2014/15

i know its hard with travels and so on, but couldnt they play at 18.45, then the other at 20.45 as usual?

You tell me how you would structure it then. It's over two weeks now but already tripping over domestic cup schedules which isn't ideal.

Europa League manages to work out with two kick off times in one night, why can't the Champions League?

It's workable though, if they saw the need to shuffle it round so games didn't overlap, perhaps they could gain extra advertising revenue that way with higher viewing figures on both games.

Definately they would

Sorry to break it to you but I think the fans who actually support these teams come ahead of people who fancy watching a game on TV.

Why not play them at 4am? Perfect for the Chinese audience and there are more of them than anyone else.

Yes, bloody awful. How about considering you know, the fans that go to these games?

You know eventually the Premier League will realize there's more money in America than Britain and all your games will kick off at midnight local.

I'm not saying I want them to do it that way, I don't really give two fucks either way, but it's hardly impossible for them to copy a format that works perfectly well in the Europa League if they wanted to prevent the games overlapping is it?

It's a necessity in the Europa League as there are loads more games.

Games overlapping is hardly a problem. Pick one and watch it.

The whole thing is silly, a 5:45pm local kickoff is hardly creating significant problems that didn't already exist for a match played on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

No chance, you'll all be watching the amazing MLS.

I didn't say it was a problem, you know it is possible to offer an idea without having an objection to something in the first place?

It works in the Europa League, it could work just the same for the Champions League, it doesn't matter if there's need to do it, it's a hypothetical situation.

Im not looking for it at group stage but in knockout stages it would be nice to watch as many as possible live in the CL

Yes it is, go and ask on the Wolves part of the forum how many people would fancy our midweek games kicking off at 5.45. Given that would mean if you work more than two miles outside Wolverhampton and assuming you finish at 5 you have 0% chance of making kick off.

Amazing anyone makes it to any Major League Baseball games at all, then.

In that case they could move back one hour on normal kick offs and kick off the other game later if possible
