Lettuce Liz then Tetchy Rish! and the battle to replace him

Michelle Mone taking a leave of absence to allow her to "clear her name" from the ppe medpro allegations.
There is a reason I have put clear her name in quote marks...

Has spoken in the Lords five times since being appointed in 2015. Last voted in April.

We absolutely need a second chamber, it's been vital in blocking/tempering some of the awful crap the Tories have tried to shove through in recent years, but it's so crammed full of people who don't contribute anything and/or are there just as a sop for services rendered.

Leaving aside Mone who is obviously dodgy as fuck in her own right.

We all hate you, you fat cunt.

Rishi was shocked to discover millions upon millions was handed out for PPE contracts to mates of the Government in dodgy circumstances

He will be fuming when he finds out which Chancellor approved the spending.

Celebrity mass murderer Matt Hancock standing down as an MP at the next election.

Think that is now 15 Tory MP's walking away.

We ought run a sweep. I reckon it could be a 3 figure number who step down.

border force now going on strike. is anyone gonna be left at work at this rate?

He looks like Mickey Rourke there.

Some of the "cards on the table"people seem to have 3 or 4 jobs where they earn £75k a year and are furious at the union despite them getting a 8.5% pay rise.

Looks like Rishi doing his best Boris/Steve Maddeley impression. Strikes upon strikes and time for your PM to come forward and sort shit out....nah, due to have 6 weeks off work.

6 weeks? Surely he can’t be away for that long?

They have three weeks for Christmas (but then who doesn't? The UK shuts down for Chrimbo apparently) but that doesn't start till the 21st?!?

The 8.4% pay rise was only given to Tube train drivers taking their annual wages to an average of 62k per year. Train Drivers in ASLEF, plus staff in the RMT haven’t had a pay rise since before covid.
So, laying my cards on the table, they are talking shite.

The latest pay offer is being portrayed as an 8 or 9% offer but doesn’t tell the story. It is 4% this year and 4% next year but we must agree to accept any changes of contract, conditions and policy that they wish to implement and give up our right to taking industrial action if we don’t like what they are proposing.
As usual though, the BBC (and others) are putting the management side forward without the full facts

The public sector pay argument is an interesting one capturing the headlines, but the private sector isn't dishing out inflation equaling rises either, because it's not sustainable. The inflationary pressures being borne on the employee is also hitting the employer trying to pass as little as possible onto the consumer, because they can't afford it. It's an ever tightening spiral and I don't know what the answer is to be honest.
