Lettuce Liz then Tetchy Rish! and the battle to replace him

Also it's the US lifting restrictions on lamb from Europe, so applies to the EU too and isn't a Brexit Opportunity...

£2m spent in the last 6 months on travel expenses as foreign secretary. In comparison Raab spent £67k in the last 6 months of travelling prior to covid.

1/2 a million of that was one flight to Australia just as the Ukraine war was kicking off

Hands up if you think that the role of the Cabinet was to run the Country and focus on the key issues of the day?

Apparently not with this lot. 2+ years away from an election they want to turn the fire onto Labour and ignore the pressing issue of the day, the crisis in the financial markets.

I'm becoming increasingly concerned that thick Liz just passes on the blame for the increasing interest rates and interventions into the Bonds market as Bank of England issues rather than anything caused by her crackpot mini budget of a couple of weeks back.

It's Invalidity Benefit/Incapacity Benefit all over again.
A long term conservative government is undoubtedly bad for the health of a nation.
In the 1980's, as part of the ideology to break miners and other manual industries, hundreds of thousands of people were abandoned, and shunted on to health related benefits, owing to their health meaning they were unable to work, as a result of several years of conservative policy.

Now, in 2022, after 12 years of austerity and more horrendous tory policies, which we know have caused hundreds of thousands of preventable early deaths, we also have record numbers of people too ill to be able to work.

Like in the 1980's this massages the jobless figures (out this week) and as less people are classed as unemployed, then the conservatives crow about what a good job they're doing bringing unemployment down. All they are really doing is making thousands unable to work, and are therefore are excluded from the figures. All this without examining the quality of the jobs, or the security of the work or wages, or without exploring the additional reliance on other benefits.

So what is with the claim of conservatives getting britain working (yet countless conservatives are on record as saying you, I, others etc) are lazy and feckless etc etc.

It's pretty categorical that a conservative government have a negative impact on the health of the nation, and are negative for the wellbeing of millions of people.

also, theres coffey going to war with the nursing unions is a terrible look, especially after the past 2+ years

She also refused to confirm if she personally agreed with the Government measures to cut smoking rates by 2030. She refused on an number of occasions, finally setting on the line that if its Government policy then she's going to go along with it.

so she has no personal beliefs whatsoever then? madness. populism has a lot to answer for.

Liz Truss is not a populist leader.

She's many other shit things, but not that.
