Lettuce Liz then Tetchy Rish! and the battle to replace him

I just find it odd - if you're a truss or a kwarteng you could make much more money by not getting into politics. The only reason for getting into politics, if you're not from a wealthy background, is that you are either a meglomaniac or you actually think you can improve things - I think they are the latter but totally lack any contect or experience to realise their ideas are totally stupid.
I think Kwateng certainly is the latter.

Truss is just Johnson in a dress without the idiocy but added stupidity.

Kwateng is an acolyte of the Tufton St free marketeers, an arrogant but extremely clever man who could easily manipulate his boss.

He genuinely thinks the free markets are a good thing no matter what the cost to the population. He could well have a point that the economy does need something but Friday's fiasco wasn't it.

I agree with you on the point of taking free markets and making the world better. I don't think they do sadly.

Same old same old for the tories - turn us against each other while ensuring the rich get richer and privilege remains with them and their cronies. Baffles me how anyone who's not rich could have ever voted for them.

Because they’ve transitioned much of the working class into believing they are middle class, and that they’d achieved that through supposed Tory values of hard graft and prudence.

By definition leaves Labour to give your hard-earned to the lazy that didn’t work as hard as you did and all the other takers and the brown people at Dover in dinghy’s.

The power of fear and prejudice is unbelievable. So many of the people I know would be so much better off under a Labour government but the thought of what might happen with ‘Lefties’ in charge is too much to bear.

I’m at the end of my tether with that sort of mentality and these days just distance myself as much as possible, but it’s not easy when you’re surrounded by that as the norm.

The OBR will provide a forecast to the Treasury next week.

Useful for a budget done last week...

Gives them an ideal reason to do a U-turn at the conference I imagine.

The OBR have backed them into a corner by outing the Government for refusing to get them involved when they were on hand to deliver an assessment with the statement of last week.

If the reports are correct and the OBR Forecast won't be a kind assessment of Kamikwasi's plans then it will have to either be a U-Turn of some description or a meltdown of the markets.

Putin will also be to blame for some reason as well.

Listening to the news agents podcast and its review of yesterday's interviews. Its even worse on second listen.

that. Is. A. Disgrace! Why we aren’t storming Downing Street I don’t know
