Lettuce Liz then Tetchy Rish! and the battle to replace him

Note a small improvement for Frottages reform lot. They have picked up a few votes from the Truss disaster. Makes Labour performance in the poll even more impressive.

No way Truss goes to the polls before the last possible day as she is going to preside over the worst Conservative electoral performance in history at this rate.

I can only see four immediate ways towards an early GE:

1) Complete, drastic, sharp economic collapse (obviously no-one wants this, most of us would be dead before it were fixed)

2) Genuine widespread civil unrest (I would not rule this out from happening, again not desirable)

3) Truss is quietly disposed of, and the Tories find some self-awareness and accept that they can't parachute yet another PM in who has no mandate from the public, so new PM calls it themselves (the first bit I can see, the second, probably not)

4) Outright VONC in the Commons for Truss and no-one wants the hospital pass, or can't get the party support because there is no-one (needs 40 or so Tory turkeys to vote for Christmas, you never know)

Those kind of spikes have got to be a record, surely?

I know it's only polling but there's essentially no way back for them under Truss.
It's over. They can't even play the new leader card anymore as that's well and truly done. They're Watford in political party form.

They're a tiny, tiny minority.

Think of it as those who reckoned we should not have appointed some Portuguese fella (what does he know about Barnsley away, eh) and stuck with Paul Lambert.

He's a fucking prick.

I liked him about 10 years ago, fool that I was.

Todays 33 point lead poll makes interesting reading after throwing it through the electoral calculus. It results in an almost complete wipe out for the conservatives.

Ah, one other slight tangent to 4).

Kwarteng needs to pass some kind of a Finance Bill to make his batshit plans law, you can't just do it, even if you do want to hide forecasts and break manifestos. Convention says if you can't pass a money bill then it's effectively a VONC (for a start, if Government can't pass them, come April they technically can't collect income tax). But it's convention and Johnson broke loads of them, we couldn't turf him out for being a cunt, sadly.

Apparently, based on that YouGov survey, Labour would have a 492 seat majority 😂

Obviously, that would never happen but it still makes me chuckle. Fuck the Tories.

I went to a recording of Question Time pre Brexit so 2014/5 and he seemed very reasonable. It's only Corbyn and his Hokey Cokey support of him that's made him into the petty little twat he's become

Tories would end up with 2 seats! Even Staffordshire South would go Red!

He's always been a tawdry, loud mouthed, thick, fucking prick. Just the flip side of cunts like Grimes and Corcoran.

Stupid loud mouthed kids with zero experience of life but an opinion on everything.

Cunts the lot of em.

My tory colleague's take on the poll

I honestly don’t think they [the Tories] will care. Anyone with a brain knows opinion polls at this point mean nothing. If anything it’s bad for Labour, as there is no chance of a GE being called.

She is shitting it. Meeting between Pork Markets and Kamikwazi on one side and the head of the OBR on the other scheduled for tomorrow.

All routine and not called at emergency notice at all. No siree. Entirely planned.
