Leicester (H): We always win 4-3 verdict thread

Seemed like both attacks were the nemeses of each defence - Bennett and Vinagre mistakes, great passing from Neves, great reading of the game by Donk, class finishing by Diogo.

happy to have jota back.

Well we snatched victory from the jaws of victory having given victory away in 6 crazy minutes.

Missed big Boly. No surprise
Rui can't kick for toffee. No surprise
Jota and Raul outstanding. No surprise
Ref not a lot of cop. No surprise.

Happy Saturday. Off shopping now.

I'd have been gutted if we'd ultimately chucked a two goal lead away. At 2-0 up we need to manage the game better. Luckily their defending was even worse than ours, and were forced to bring a slow Wes Morgan on.

We fot away with it at the end with the winner, but thankfully the real Jota is definitely back. 5 goals in his last 5 games now and a Premier League hat-trick.

I fucking love Diogo Jota. That is all.

Even without the goals, Jota was unbelievable today. He's well and truly back and I'm delighted for him (and us). He is such a tough cookie - and when you've got big lumps like Wes Morgan, Jonny Evans and such going off the pitch, knowing they've been in a real physical battle - you know he's a special talent and has so much to his game.

Neves is finding his passing range again. Was a top performance from him and some of his link up play with Jota was top drawer.

Donk is the real deal. I've always wondered how a player like Eric Dier can get so many games for a club like Spurs. Donk reminds me of Dier - except better. We've got a massive talent on our hands here and need to sign him.

Vinagre displayed why he should start home games against clubs in and around us in the league. Can he improve his end product? Yes. Should he cut out some of the cut backs and delays on his crosses? Yes. Does he do too many step overs? Yes. But my God - his overlapping play and endevour to get forwards to join attacks should be applauded. Danny Simpson absolutely hated playing against him. Having Vinny in the side automatically puts us on the front foot and the opposition on the back foot. That's what we need as the home side.

Saiss started really well and I was praising him in the match thread - and I actually thought he had a decent game (except for going down too early for Leicester's first).

Raul just does not stop working. Didn't get a goal today, but just kept running & running & running. We need to sign him.

Rui & Coady the weak links today. I didn't agree with Nuno's substitutions today - But lets not focus on that - the match was incredible to watch. A real rollercoaster of emotions and thankfully we landed on the right side today.

Final word on the ref - stupid to book Jota for being kicked and crazy to send Nuno off for celebrating with his players (Jamie Carragher was NOT happy).

What a fantastic game of football. Proper end to end stuff, and for all the warranted criticism regarding the defending, credit to the team for not giving up.

I thought Jota and Jimenez were fantastic today, Raul deserved a goal - delighted for Diogo.

I am just loving this season - so many highlights already for me and the drama today is right up there.

+1

I'm exhausted. Luckily my Local Landlord is Portuguese, and a Porto fan because that celebration would have got me barred from most places. We all know already that it's the best 17 million we are ever likely to spend, but those two passes alone were worth the fee.

Thought the Donk was excellent today (though weak for their third), really calm, constantly moving, good simple passing, was really good. Ruben neves was back to playing Neves balls today, he was fantastic - Jiminez worked his absolute balls off, brilliant performance - and Diogo Jota was absolutely grade A awesome, I think I love him....

Know your pain. Between Benfica's last night match and today I should probably get a restraining order from watching football by the residents' assembly.

What a game, heart rate slowly coming down. Defensively we were all over the shop but so were they. Really impressed with the Donk broke up play really well and has a lovely crisp range of passing. Jiminez summed things up for me he must be knackered ran himself into the ground and was brilliant going forward.

But today is about Jota after a few games taken out of the spotlight he has come back to his very best if not better than we have seen before and it's a joy to see. Tenacious and wonderfully clinical boy did he deserve that goal it the end.

MOTM Jota of course.

PS come back soon Willy we missed you!!

Was the defensive performance more about bad fundamental defending or just the chemistry being out of sync with Boly out?

Every goal we conceded should have been prevented. Saiss had a good game, but was part of a defence that conceded three goals, for example.

I'm struggling to look at this match objectively at the moment. I said at half time that Leicester must hate playing at the Mol in the Premier League. I wasn't expecting another 4-3

Without having seen the match I'd say that makes it hard to imagine him having had a good game, then.

Thank you Leicester for giving Neves several acres of space to do whatever the fuck he wanted with the ball. In the last minute. After however many warnings he'd do that all game. No wonder Puel looked on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
