Leicester (H): We always win 4-3 verdict thread

What a fantastic game of football. Proper end to end stuff, and for all the warranted criticism regarding the defending, credit to the team for not giving up.

I thought Jota and Jimenez were fantastic today, Raul deserved a goal - delighted for Diogo.

I am just loving this season - so many highlights already for me and the drama today is right up there.
Depends on how you define 'fantastic' tbh. Some dreadful stuff from Wolves at times.

Yeah. Great game as a spectacle, utter filth in midfield and up front, but shocking at the back.

Even without the goals, Jota was unbelievable today. He's well and truly back and I'm delighted for him (and us). He is such a tough cookie - and when you've got big lumps like Wes Morgan, Jonny Evans and such going off the pitch, knowing they've been in a real physical battle - you know he's a special talent and has so much to his game.

Neves is finding his passing range again. Was a top performance from him and some of his link up play with Jota was top drawer.

Donk is the real deal. I've always wondered how a player like Eric Dier can get so many games for a club like Spurs. Donk reminds me of Dier - except better. We've got a massive talent on our hands here and need to sign him.

Vinagre displayed why he should start home games against clubs in and around us in the league. Can he improve his end product? Yes. Should he cut out some of the cut backs and delays on his crosses? Yes. Does he do too many step overs? Yes. But my God - his overlapping play and endevour to get forwards to join attacks should be applauded. Danny Simpson absolutely hated playing against him. Having Vinny in the side automatically puts us on the front foot and the opposition on the back foot. That's what we need as the home side.

Saiss started really well and I was praising him in the match thread - and I actually thought he had a decent game (except for going down too early for Leicester's first).

Raul just does not stop working. Didn't get a goal today, but just kept running & running & running. We need to sign him.

Rui & Coady the weak links today. I didn't agree with Nuno's substitutions today - But lets not focus on that - the match was incredible to watch. A real rollercoaster of emotions and thankfully we landed on the right side today.

Final word on the ref - stupid to book Jota for being kicked and crazy to send Nuno off for celebrating with his players (Jamie Carragher was NOT happy).

Dendoncker has already signed permanently in the summer for 12m

Dendoncker seems quite a clever player, kept things simple as mentioned but can see he has more in his locker to come. Great at winning headers too which helps us out. And love how he runs a bit funny, me and my mates were doing on the way back to the car ha.

Vinagre did quite well. Missed a few opportunities for an early (or earlier) cross/pass but surely that will improve with more games and working with Moutinho, Jimenez etc more.

I love Jota so much. He loves a fight. Hasn't quite got the sheer pace that other players his build might have, instead loves a battle, bouncing off players etc. Should have maybe had 5 but 3 is good!!

My HEART

I would tack towards awful fundamentals for the defending...I'm not sure Boly would've made much difference to any of those bar maybe the 1st, even then Gray could quite possibly have had the run on him.

Rui...please god work on your kicking. For the love of god.

I'll need to watch it on TV (and while I think about it...if anyone knows where the full replay are kept on the internet please do PM me..) but I thought it looked like Neves was playing at the base of the middle 3 with Mou and Donck ahead of him? Might explain why his passing was a bit more on point than usual, he was a bit more central and didn't have to do as much running. Might be wrong though *shrug*

Jonny's an excellent fullback but I think we know by now that his strength is not going forwards. He does try but he just doesn't have the instincts for it. Vinny is much, much better at it, but not as good defensively. But...if I'm honest, I think that's a trade I'm happy to make. I don't remember how many games Vinny has played now but he's still a baby, in experience terms, and he will get better the more he plays, I'm sure of it.

That is not to say I am railing against Jonny, far from it. He's been great for us this season. I will have no problem if he starts every game for the rest of the season. I just have a personal preference, that's all.

Still a few media types around saying Diego and not Diogo. They'll learn, and quickly.

Wish it hadn't been so bleedin' cold but I'll remember this one for a while.

Brilliant entertainment overall. Great to score 4 goals and Jota is looking fantastic again. We saw today why you can't be sentimental if the club has the ambition it claims, not sure what you do about Coady as it's a very specific role but feel we need to be bringing in upgrades for Bennett and Doherty if not this window but well ahead of preseason. Another Boly calibre CB the other side of CC am sure he'd be fine. Feel like we are getting a very decent side and squad in place though. It's a brilliant time to be a Wolves fan, even witht he concerns whilst we wait on Boly returning.

Rui’s siesta in the first half was almost very costly.

Liking the front pairing - thought this would make us more solid at the back!

Three goals from Jota, an assist from Neves, two assists from Moutinho.

These Portuguese lads really cant perform in the cold.....

Just a proper old-fashioned football match, that. We're so used to demanding and (sometimes) seeing perfection, but it was great to watch such a pulsating, end-to-end, if error strewn 90 minutes just like it used to be for a change. Thank Christ we came out on top, though. Lots of positives in there, too, to be fair, but we wouldn't get away with that every week.

I watched the match with a handful of neutral Spurs and Liverpool mates who all loved it as a spectacle.

Without having seen the match I'd say that makes it hard to imagine him having had a good game, then.

He did do a lot of good things but was done on the first goal and part of a collective three out muscled by Morgan for the third.

First goal is on Bennett imo. Very poor to let Vardy get that ball, he had no idea he was there.

I'm exhausted - thought the celebration for the 3rd was a bit mental but when the 4th went in it was unbelievable.

Great to see Neves and Jota playing like we all knew they could. I don't think it's a surprise Neves looks better with Donk alongside him, his physical presence certainly helps. It also helped that Leicester put a lot of effort in trying to get back in the game and slowed significantly in the last 20 minutes.

The amount of people who left when it was 3-2 was amazing. Unlucky.

Harder than it need be but warriors to keep going after setbacks.

Bennett caught under a high ball for the first was really poor but he was genuinely decent and a great header for the goal but that's three goals in three games now. Need to keep an eye on it. Big call dropping Doc but the correct one. Vinagre was a constant outlet and did very well, sometimes hangs onto the ball too long but they're the kind of things experience will iron out.

Neves and Moutinho were incredibe. Especially the former who produced his best display this season. The assist for the 3rd was something but the ball to Jiminez for the fourth is outrageous, his day could only be better if that shot in the first two minutes flies into top bins.

Jiminez is a workhorse, another assist and the run he made in the first half to the byline before digging a cross out he had no right to be delivering. A shame Jota couldn't bury the header.

Its hard to dismiss the goals but Jota is so much more than a goalscorer, constantly harried Morgan and Simpson, they were terrified of him. It still staggers me how resilient and strong he is. Partnership with Raul is really blossoming.

I'm getting more and more concerned by Rui's kicking and generally in possession, it is so poor and there's been no discernible improvement over the course of the season. Obviously if he had the kicking too you're talking a £40m+ goalie but it shouldn't be this bad either.

Delighted with the win.
