Wolves 3-0 Leicester: Verdict Thread

I’m not trying to be funny to be fair. I like Munetsi. Seems like a great guy, sticks the effort it, don’t object to seeing him on the team sheet. People don’t have to be at the wild end of the spectrum just as it’s the internet. At the same time, seems reasonable to skewer stats if we’re talking stats to make a case? If not then OK, whatever.

You can see how his work rate helps the other forward players. I guess that's why someone like Larsen's form has increased as Munetsi helps pull players out of position and give Larsen more room to make runs.

I just wish we could have found someone similar with a bit better ability on the ball to do that role. As it is he's not going to score many goals so all he is in the team for is hard work really and the occasional decent lay-off.

I'm beyond trying to overthink it. We've won 6 on the spin, be it against the bottom 6. His off the ball stats are exceptional, the eye test largely poor. The manager likes him and we aren't fluking the run we are on with him playing every game.
In the spirit that the manger is evidently doing an exceptional job, and I absolutely do think it’s all about leadership, he could be turning up to games wearing a snorkel and Toploader T shirt and I’d be happy to see him carry on.

He helps our high pressure a lot. He leads the press and curves his run to cut the pitch in half, forcing teams to play towards their RB/RCB where the rest of the team anticipate the ball will go to and press as a group.

It's no surprise that United has been our worst performance of this run as Onana is the best keeper with the ball we've faced over the last few months. He was able to play around Munetsi and therefore the entire press fell away behind it.

He's useful. We should definitely be looking to recruit someone can do everything he can do and also not fall over every time the ball is within 5 yards of him though.

Be interesting to see how we get on on Friday v City with him in the team. I suspect they’ll just pass their way through our press with ease.

Not sure, we're not gonna have much of the ball, think he'll be invaluable chasing, harrying, pressing.

I mean he’s no Berba but this is a bit harsh.
