Couple of suicidal balls out of defence from Coady and Hause then but a bit of Cav magic eases the pressure. He's looking like he hasn't missed a beat from what I've seen. Great to have him back.
Traore and Cav have switched sides for the time being (Traore to the left, Cav to the right) - Cav looks sharp. Some really nice touches and pieces of skill.
Rasper from Vardy from just outside the box and Ruddy makes a solid save, Traore breaks at around 80mph and gets fouled by the halfway line. Yellow card.
We've had our moments but as others have said we've had to grow into the game. Back three look pretty good in and out of possession. Saiss and MGW have done well at times but also been sloppy other times.
Bit disjointed, but I guess that's to be expected. Back three look good, good to see Hause doing well. Cav looks really up for it and Saiss has been good too. Main issue is we're giving the ball away too much. MGW and Vinagre both guilty. Shows how much we miss Neves and Moutinho that we can't get a grip on the midfield.
Not been much action from what I've seen so far. Defence generally coping well, Hause in particular has done well against Vardy a few times, but the team as a whole don't seem to have been able to get much control of the game for any real time so far, MGW and Saiss unsurprisingly not offering that same presence in the middle of the park. So far nothing really seems to have come to fruition for Traore, couple slightly overhit crosses ended up being recovered by Cavaleiro who himself has been a bit hit and miss but you're likely to get that after a decent spell out and one run from Vinagre aside the wingbacks have been rather quiet. Think a better footing in the centre of the park could be the difference here, control the game a bit more and try to get Bonatini involved so there can be some link up with the wide forwards and hopefully create some chances.
There for either team at the moment if they can sort themselves out and stamp some authority on the game.
The biggest difference for me is that without Boly, Moutinho and Neves all of the raking passing is left to Coady which changes the dynamic of the formation. Still not a bad performance from a virtually completely different starting XI.
Jonny is a fucking brilliant footballer. Christ, I’ve lost count of the number of years I’ve waited for a defender who’s as good as him to play for Wolves.
We’re well on top now but Leicester look like they have a counter in them.
And considering how easy it is to criticise a ref, I’m happy to say the ref is having a good game tonight.
