Lambert

Wasn't sure about PL but was happy to give him a go....so far so good, I've been mainly impressed, makes good early sub's and for getting our bomb scare of a defence into a cohesive, organized unit, kudos

Was 'cautiously' optimistic. Am now fully optimistic. Recruitment and how other people are involved remains a concern.

Lambert took over when we were 18th in the championship, and that is where we are now. Far from being the messiah some say he is, I would question whether he has actually improved things.
I think today was your answer.

Ignoring results for a moment our performances have been a world apart from the pre Lambert era. We are defending so much better as a team now and the energy and spirit is there for all to see. Still fearless sending Ronan on to get some experience that will aide his development. Today he got it spot on again.... I am warming to him more and more. Whatever happens this season he has given us an unforgettable cup run and put on some entertainment for the fans, for that I tip my hat.

I also am warming to him - though still don't fecking understand a word he says :icon_biggrin:

I hope he continues this excellent form. I slated him early on but he's starting to work magic. Glad to be proven wrong.

im starting to understand him more after listen to him abit more, hes liverpool post match press conference was spot on knew what he was doing today and set the team up accordingly thats all he can do and u see all the players behind him and also playing for the shirt.

I expect us to sign Andi in the summer after his loan, and get a few more players in the summer and really push for promotion next year, Lambert needs a full season before i will judge him but so far im very impressed with his tactics and playing style.

Warming to hi as well, not bad for a Thelwell appointment.......

He has us well organised, you can see the players know their roles and what is required

Dont know what your all on about with the accent can understand every word.

Moroccan midfielder Romain Saiss was again left out on Tuesday and many supporters have called for his inclusion.

But Lambert said the 26-year-old had to fight for his place.
"Everybody has been playing well and Romain has come back from the African Cup of Nations where he played a few games," Lambert said.
"It’s tough because the lads who have been here have been performing and deserve to be in the side.
"Romain’s a good player but he just has to bide his time the way other people have done.
"He’s very much part of it but I can only pick so many.
"There’s a lot of competition. And it’s difficult to drop him back into it. We’ve got a lot of games coming up – his time will come.
"But I’ve got to be fair to the lads that have got us this far as well, the lads who’ve performed."

But Lambert said the 26-year-old had to fight for his place.
"Our midfielders have been shit lately, so there is a good chance he will play soon," Lambert said.
"lads who have been here have been performing shit and don't deserve to be in the side.

"There’s a lot of competition. But the competition is under performing. We’ve got a lot of games coming up – his time will come very soon.

He's not going to come out with something like that is he?

No, he's not - but I don't think anyone is saying that.

His comments come across like he's taking the fucking piss when you look at our performances.

It's what every manager says up and down the country.

Agreed, but I suspect Penk's point is that he's not gonna hang his players out to dry in public.
I'm sure those words attributed to PL aren't the ones used in the dressing room.

Weimann and Marshall didn't have to wait.

What was the phrase PL used after the Wigan game? "Angry and disappointed", Yeah, me too.

He shouldn't be praising them either.. Just be neutral if you don't wanna create massive bad reactions among fans and even players currently benched.. They haven't been great have they?
