Keir Starmer at it again..

Ukraine is just a far left hobby horse. Doesn't affect me so I'm not interested.

Weird that you're trying this awful angle when my point is blindingly obvious. Apart from conspiracy theorists, most people you speak to are pretty much aligned in their thinking on Ukraine. They don't crowbar it into every political conversation.

Israel/Palestine has been one of the far left's favourite hot topics and obsessions for decades. The constant, monomaniacal focus on this isn't the politics borne out of survival, or the daily life and struggles of yourself and your family. It's an extremely privileged position to be obsessed about it at the expense of issues that are closer to home.

Glad you deleted that post PK, as it was a bit weird. (y)

Edit: you didn't!

Niggling at me during Wolves v Villa when I haven't even commented on the subject at hand is really odd mate.

Maybe you should delete this post mate, it's a right clusterfuck :D

So to be clear...

Caring about Palestinians is a left wing hobby horse borne out of privilege. Do you feel the same about apartheid South Africa? Vietnam? Ukraine?

It's not possible to worry about Palestinians and poverty stricken British children at the same time.

I never said there was anything wrong with caring or worrying about all those things you mention, I referred to obsessing and prioritising them.

Your comprehension of my simple posts is very poor, mate!

Not sure if that's deliberate... but if it isn't then God knows how you fathom the complexities of Israel-Palestine

Someone makes a point about Starmer's reaction to a huge news story. Maybe one of the biggest in years. On a thread about Keir Starmer. For whatever reason, you get triggered by this and lament that we've moved away from the topic of supervised teeth brushing. We can discuss both. If you're not interested in Israel Palestine then ignore the posts about it. Instead you seem to be fixated on this idea of Palestine being a 'hard left' fringey thing. Either the scary Left live in your head rent free or you're on a wind up.

This probably isn't the place to discuss what's happening, but lots of innocent people are going to suffer on both sides. It's hard to see any kind of stability in the region in the near future

Anyway some interesting financial policy foreshadowing from Rachel Reeves. Labour wants to fight the election on the economy which seems eminently sensible with the Conservatives utterly lousing that up and preferring to shout about nasty immigrants as their preferred battleground

This may not be a popular standpoint, and i feel for the palestinians, but unless these choose peace or hamas there is no chance of any meaningful peace negotiations.
Frankly i wouldn't negotiate with a terrorist group whose sole ambition is to remove every living israeli/jew from the face of the earth, so how can anyone ask the israelis to do this.
Palestinians are a race of people with rights in this world, Hamas, as they have shown by murdering women and kids are a bunch of murdering terrorist fanatics.
I'll respect the requests to not discuss on this thread, but there's a lot which is just incorrect in this post

Don't make me give you my postcode, mate 😉

Have had a little of a tidy up, and moved some posts over to a new Israel-Palestine thread. Please take discussions about the conflict over there, thanks
