Keir Starmer at it again..

If we go:

Thatcher: The most damaging (long-term)
Johnson: The biggest cunt (genuinely, I hate him so much, and he devalues politics so much)
Truss: The stupidest, by a mile
Cameron: The most hubristic
May: The least suited (in no world should she ever have been front facing anywhere, she's too weird)

That sounds about right.

And Rish! doesn't make the top five. Sake.

Ha ha, list of the PM's in your lifetime?, just looked mine up, and that was a bad move.
My list starts with fuckin Churchill ffs, gonna lie down now.

Worth pointing out that Driscoll hasn't been nearly as successful as he claims (shades of Lage banging about 'most away wins ever') and sharing a platform with Ken Loach then not backing down given recent history is just foolish.
Is sharing a platform with Ken Loach now something that means deselection?

Good friend of George Galloway, Ken Loach?

If I fancied a future as a Labour politician then I probably wouldn't be queuing up to shake his hand.

He's got some very unsavoury views.

So anyone who has shared a platform with Ken Loach is a bad egg?

Interesting, especially as Kier Starmer has appeared Ken Loach directed films.

Would you share a platform with someone who shares anti-semitic tropes?

I wouldn't have thought Starmer has had anything to do with him for years.

I don't believe Ken Loach is racist.

Where does it end? Should Andy Burnham be deselected (if it was possible) for defending Driscoll?

Starmer not so long ago at all considered Corbyn a friend, does that mean he's AS?

The whole thing is ridiculous and is clearly a purge.

That's a whole other thread (!) but the anti semitism thing has been a fucking disgrace.

So it seems speaking out against the vile and repressive Zionist Israeli state, which enacts a form of apartheid in Palestine and Gaza, now makes you anti-semitic? The 2 things are NOT the same, you can be firmly opposed to the Israeli regime without being racist. Unfortunately that debate has been twisted by pro Zionist supporters to make it almost impossible to criticise Israel without being labelled racist. Its bollocks. Prominent Marxist historian, the now deceased Tony Cliff, was both outspoken against Israeli oppression in Palestine and also Jewish. I presume he's anti-semitic and racist too?

The conversation around anti-semitism needs to separate criticism of the Israeli regime from abuse of Jewish people. At the moment it doesn't.

Sue Gray is free to join Labour in the Autumn. According to the Times, Simon Case (who had apparently blocked her from any promotion within the civil service and seems to be involved in much of the shite that goes wrong in Downing Street) pushed for a 2 year period of gardening leave. The committee of Acoba which is chaired by the former Conservative cabinet minister Lord Pickles decided otherwise.

Gaslight central there. Fucking hell.
Not really, DW said himself Driscoll shouldn't be spending any time with Loach.

Loach's last 3 films were filmed in the North East, Driscoll is a North East mayor, why shouldn't he "share a platform" with him?

It's so fucking transparent, and I'm amazed that people who I consider intelligent can't recognise it as such.

The gaslight is using an ovation received by a FILM DIRECTOR at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL in this way. Dear me.

You'll have to forgive me for not liking Ken Loach I'm afraid. I think he's a wanker.

And 'I, Daniel Blake' is a load of poorly made bollocks, a cartoon polemic from a filmmaker that used to be genuinely powerful at times
