I do think Labour could be going a bit stronger. Just say "this was April 2021, these were the rules, as you can see everything was by the book". Instead they've sort of allowed this false equivalence to fester, when all the Downing Street stuff was at the hardest of lockdown and quite clearly wasn't permitted under any circumstances. And it was offences by the people who made the rules, and they've continually lied about it since.

The Mail wailing about "£200 worth of curry" is hilarious though. There were 20-30 people there. I'd say that's a bloody decent deal!

Curry at £6.66 a head including rice is insanely good value, even round here where intense competition keeps the prices down. It's the night before polling. Clearly just finished working on the doorsteps at 9. Beer and a curry, and then back to check out the results of the latest area polling before bed and then up early to support the candidate putting their vote in when the polling stations open early.
