He seems a decent chap but is rather wooden and lacks the charisma needed to attract some voters so if he does resign it might not be the end of the world so long as he isn’t replaced with a Corbynite. Even then a Corbynite without the baggage would be a different proposition to Jeremy himself.

He's gone on a real journey. Proper Blairite back in the day but his politics are much sounder now and he's very likeable.

If , and it’s a big if, Starmer is found guilty he would have to resign for the credibility of the Labour Party and by doing the right thing it would show the Tories to be extremely unprincipled in comparison. Most on here know that but plenty of Boris supporters as opposed to Tories have buried their heads in the sand and it could be the final straw for Johnson. One thing I’m certain of given the cost of living crisis is the Tories need Johnson a lot more than Labour need Starmer!
