Jeremy Corbyn

Len McCluskey, leader of the Unite union made an astonishing claim on the Andrew Marr show on Sunday, concerning the organised coup attempt on Jeremy Corbyn.

In case you missed it

The leader of Britain’s biggest union has accused a public relations company of being the “sinister forces” behind the current crisis engulfing the Labour leadership.

Dennis Healey wrote this 57 years ago, its more pertinent now than ever:

Nice words from Gorgeous.

Epic few days for Corbyn. Spoke beautifully yesterday.

The canary is a load of shite, people have received death threats as a result of the stuff they make up.

Why did I know that it would be you that ran down the canary. Try arguing with facts rather than just your jaundiced opinion.

It is a fact that people have received death threats because of made up guff in the canary.

That work for you?

Name people, dates, links if you can. Give me the facts not just glib generalisations.

....and how does this affect Corbyn and the attempted coup?

I believe the implication is that the Canary is making stuff up to defend/support Corbyn. Personally, I have no idea but they are interesting conspiracies.

In other news, their will be a leadership challenge within 72 hours following a breakdown of the peace talks (as in, neither the PLP nor Corbyn will budge).

Eagle has made a pre-announcement that she will (finally) launch her campaign on Monday.

... and the Commons will have a vote on Trident on the 18th July.

I knew what you were referring to, but it's all supposition. You might as well blame Len McCluskey for the action of one narrow minded idiot writing a threatening letter.

There are nutters everywhere, and if the police deem there is a case, they will investigate, but you can't blame the nutter's action on a piece of investigative journalism, whether you believe the article or not.

So for you to call 'the canary' shite because you believe there is a connection between it and this nutters action as reported by other media is incongruous at least.

I mainly think it's shite because it publishes unsubstantiated nonsence.

It's the left wing version of Farage and Boris whipping up anti-immigrant feeling.

Like most newspapers?

You really need to get over the referendum result.

What does this have to do with the referendum?

I'm actually not that bothered about it now tbh, I think it will be massively bad for country and in particular anyone on low income. Personally I very much doubt I will be affected, other than possibly having to change jobs in the near future. It's what the country voted for and it is what they will get, I just hope everyone will be able to cope. I'm going to take the standard tory view of 'im alright jack'.

This is all completely separate to the disgraceful racism in the country ATM, that is a direct result of the nasty campaigning by Farage and co.

Eagle has made a pre-announcement that she will (finally) launch her campaign on Monday.

If it happens it will no doubt instigate a split in the Labour party, as the bullies who don't want Corbyn as leader will not stop their selfish actions until they finally realise they cannot ride roughshod over the democratic process.
