Jeremy Corbyn

Can't see that happening. He bottled debating Milliband (who basically agreed with 80% of everything he said) so no chance he will take on Jezza.

Go ahead without him then, its an opportunity for political debate in front of the nation. With the right questions it gives hope that away from the right wing press people might formulate an opinion based on knowledge rather than bullshit and spin.

Couldn't agree more. They should have empty chaired Dave last time.

Absolutely nothing for Cameron to gain by agreeing to this though, not least because he's out of the hot seat at the end of this term anyway. And he's a Tory, a party nakedly devoted to self-interest so once he's gone I don't suppose he gives a shit what happens in politics.

Yup. Got rid of a troublemaker, and made some minor changes. Plain sailing so far.

I like the part where said troublemaker basically said "I was only sticking up for those who were getting their reputations tarnished" whilst basically declaring that tarnishing Corbyn was fair game.

Apparently calling MPs out on their BS is tarnishing their reputation. Who knew?

It's interesting you guys think it's a one way thing - seems to me that it's two sides trashing each other equally.

For me, saying that the second sacking was for "showing disloyalty" when Cameron voted for the Labour line more regularly than Corbyn before he became leader is rather rich.

There is a difference between being a backbencher and a member of the shadow cabinet.

Yep, Corbyn was given a mandate by the Labour members and the shadow cabinet should be reflective of those views.

I know. I just think the language used was not well thought through.

Such a shame that Alistair Campbell is no longer there to edit the press releases.....................

Hmmmm. I think you may be being a touch facetious there!! Campbell is / was whatever you may think of him. However a reasonably competent presser would surely see that using the word "disloyalty" was more than a touch inflammatory language and was going to get jumped all over? Who knows - maybe it was a word deliberately chosen to be provocative? "Pour encourager les autres"
