My childishness is applied with the broadest of brushes rather than reserved for times I'm supposedly having a serious, political debate. The irony.

That old chestnut? The evil press brainwashing the stupid population?
Or is it just that people think his perma-student protest politics would be bad for the country?

Not necessarily stupidity - though surely you're not denying the existence of stupid people? - but it's fairly well established that public perceptions of pretty much everything are wrong, generally erring on things being "worse" than they really are. https://www.ipsos-mori.com/research...t-reality-10-things-the-world-gets-wrong.aspx
I think it's fair to say that most people are uncritical consumers of the media messages that get put out, and if those messages are heavily weighted towards one particular worldview then it's not surprising that that view is reflected in public opinion, even if a lot of what is put out there is patent nonsense.
Whats very noticeable when the general public are interviewed by a political reporter is the general ignorance of politics within the UK, a very apathetic nature towards politics.
Has Frank hacked your account?

Frank has recently refrained from commenting on this and other politically motivated threads because of the blatant pro left wing agenda on this forum.
I know, until recently it was barely noticeable. I hope you are checking for reds under the bed before you pick up your copy of Pinochet's autobiography and put your head down on your Donald Trump pillowcase.
It's not like alternative viewpoints are completely unrepresented on here - PQ, Johnny, Arklo etc all frequently post on political stuff. The world seems to keep turning.
I don't know much about West Midlands politics, but i believe it's largely a Labour area, so it seems logical that more members of this forum would lean more in that direction than the other.

Frank does seem to get jumped on a bit more than the rest of us though to be fair.
Most of the discussions I get involved in are pretty reasonable though, most people try and avoid getting pissy.
Perhaps but I think that's more to do with posting style than point of view.
The irony. The posting style of some of the reds on here, is far
More bitchy than Frank's.
The irony.
