Jeremy Corbyn

Shambles. He is supporting the lies perpetuated by the leave campaign.

A dissatisfied customer;

"Corbyn you $#@!ing ancient billy goat, you're a $#@! eyed yogurt knitting kumbaya-er, you scruffy $#@!ing equality stutterer. There's rumours going around that you're standing down. I thought you already had $#@!ing months ago. In opposition you're about as effective as a $#@!ing anadin against AIDS. You're an impotent Guevara and a mild mannered Mao. Sort you're $#@!ing condescending eye brow out you $#@!ing anti Hopkins. I used to like you Corbyn, I honestly did but you're about as useful as a brolly in a $#@!ing tornado. You've had your chance to fight these self servative $#@!s and you've spunked it all away you elbow patched crinkle headed jam weaver. You're like a broken Columbo, there's 'one more thing' but the murderer is already on the $#@!ing plane. You're the political equivalent of protesting Trump in Manchester, pointless and irrelevant. Yes you've been treated worse than a nonce on a council estate and been attacked everyday for $#@! all by the media, but your mistake was letting it show that it affected you. In parliament you come across like a hestitant Geography teacher whose lost control of his class. Yes we want a kinder fairer politics but it's not $#@!ing happening is it Corbyn? Open you're $#@!ing eyes man, the right is spreading like a $#@!ing cancer and you can't have a brew and chat with $#@!ing Hitler. We need a leader with balls who can rip the tory $#@!s apart, not a smug Jesus. Nice try Jezza but you've $#@!ed it.

I'm going to lose page followers over this but it needs to be said. We're not going to win with him and before you all start, no I'm not a $#@!ing Blairite and I was very anti coup but Corbyn's chance has passed".

Excellent.

That's essentially where I am now but without the anger.

My onl;y concern is that if he resigns it will be very hard to get another leftish candidate on the ballot paper and I really don't want a 'centrist' candidate who jerks off over Blair and votes to cut disability payments.

I think what the country and the Labour Party need most at the moment is a Leader who politically, strategically and intellectually is able to hold the Government to account for what they are; rabidly right wing, inhumane and morally bankrupt. Surely the wing of the Party they come from should be secondary?

I doubt very much that Corbyn will resign even when he loses Stoke in a couple of weeks time. He'll be around as long as he has McCluskey's support. If their association looks like stopping him from being re-elected then he's in trouble, but from what I read his challenge is likely to come from further left.

Not really. If you essentially sign up to most of the govts far right economic ideology then it's not possible for you to oppose it in any meaningful way. See Milliband, Ed.

I think his record as Health Secretary undermines his credibility, he'll forever be haunted by Stafford. I like Clive Lewis, but whether he could survive the right wing onslaught that would come his way for voting against A50 I'm not sure.

But labour at the moment are so short sighted. The country has no appetite for Corbyn so even if some of his policies are OK he is unelectable therefore labour are currently unelectable. That is a disgrace given the shockers running the country. I would fancy 10 or 15 of us back room politicians to make a better fist of opposition than labour is. So you need a 5% swing to get this lot out. Cut your cloth to suit. Milliband was crap, Corbyn is crap they need a more charismatic leader who can oppose may yet remain central to get elected. Then they can slide a little left when the policies are shown to be working in government. Stand walk run! Give the country some hope! May is an unelected despot and on top of that myopic to the enth degree and only interested in herself hence her silence during the brexit referendum. She was playing the long game. She was the longest serving home sec since forever during which time she sliced and diced anything she could to save a quid. That attitude has not changed. Labour are poor, liberals are non existent who the hell are the 66% who didn't vote Tory last time going to vote for? The answer is simple at the moment as ABC. Anyone But Corbyn

We don't elect Prime Ministers. We elect constituency members of Parliament.

It would be accurate to say Theresa May doesn't have a mandate.

But we vote in our minds also for the leader who will be in control of the country hence why labour is currently unelectable. Despot without mandate describes May perfectly

I am no fan of Theresa. I am no fan of Brexit either (you would never know!).

However, surely the only thing you could make an argument for which she has a mandate is the Brexit process. It is a shite mandate, it was hardly overwhelming, but it is there for pushing that agenda item. It is also just about the only policy she has espoused.

I don't like May or the Tories one bit, but even I find despot rather OTT.

despot, is a cruel, all-controlling ruler. For example, a despot does not allow people to speak out against the leadership, nor really want them to have much freedom at all. May is not cruel but she fits the rest
