In news that surprises no one

we just need the it’s been a successful window as we didn’t sell Neves to come out and we can shout full house.
we don’t want to be in Europe or at least Fosun don’t. Let’s hope that’s the end of the nonsense about us challenging for it. We are miles off in squad terms if not points.

Taking my own personal frustration out of the lack of transfer activity, I have to say what annoys me the most in all of this is that Bruno - the bloody manager of the club - made it extremely clear he wanted first team signings. And following on from the summer, we've let him down again.

Now we need to hope that he continues to get the squad to effectively overachieve. He's some coach to have the current squad playing at the level they are, given the level Nuno was serving up when he left us.

For those who read MM or wider social media, is the mood on here typical, or are we just a negative lot?

Think it's mostly typical, MM seem to have quite a few who are relatively comfortable with our business though. Think pretty much everyone is concerned about out CM options though.

You’d like to think these sort of things were discussed at the interview stage and both owners and manager would be singing off the same hymn sheet, atleast to start with wouldnt you, or do these things not have a mention in interviews!?

There's very little dissent about it at the moment, but that will change with the publication of the accounts in a month or so's time. I think summer '22 is going to be a crucial window for Fosun's standing amongst the fans. I think they're largely supported at the moment by the morons who don't understand FFP, and/or compare everything to when we were in league one. That won't last though

Wasn't the gameplan for them to ultimately make Wolves a self-sufficient club through trading and "alternative revenue streams"?

Someone on here probably has the numbers, but just to get the club to where it is now, I think they pumped in the best part of £100 mil if not more. This will be a loan in all but name and I expect to see them continue to manage the club to within its means whilst they recoup their initial investment. There's also a school of thought that with a looming Chinese economic crisis of the scale of Japan in the 1990s, we should be happy that the club is being positioned to be self-sufficient.

I don't have much of an issue with Fosun's approach (apart from the woefully inadequate communication), just so long as we're not going backwards as we clearly were last season. Even before the Chinese government intervention, we were never going to be the next Citeh - people just made assumptions that we were, based on Fosun's market cap.

I'd love to have a new signing or two to add to the squad but I suppose injuries aside it would be very hard for someone breaking into the team seeing how much of an well oiled machine we have become.

I want a midfielder but who is going to break up arguably the best midfield pairing in the league ATM.

We are having one of the most successful seasons as a club in my supporting lifetime, yet the feeling I have towards the club is apathy at best. Its a very odd situation.
Because results far outweigh the input or backing. It’s totally unsustainable past this season. It must be demoralising for players who know we are not far away AGAIN from Europe but don’t seem keen to make the necessary additions. We have over performed this season with the squad we have . I hope I am wrong but it feels as if we have hit as good as it gets under Fosun . Colour me in the underwhelmed camp

Yeah they invested £125m, but our value has increased by more than that, so it's covered.

They're mugging themselves off if they think they can break into, and remain in, the top 6, whilst breaking even in the accounts

On becoming the next City - it was literally Fosun's stated aim, to develop us into an elite club challenging for honours, and that money wasn't a problem.

Unfortunately he didn't have a fucking clue how much that would cost
