January 2021 Transfer Window

Anybody have any thoughts on the No.11 down at Shrewsbury, wouldn't have far to travel, I think he knows where we are and at 35 could pick him up for a song !

According to wolves Twitter and other websites Cutrone is now the answer to our striker issue.

I just don't see it myself

Wolves Twitter is populated by idiots.

I saw somebody claim Nuno destroyed Bonatini's career yesterday 🤣nevermind he was playing in a desert when we signed him and he didn't score after December in a team that walked the league with 99 points.

rebalancing the squad with players that you got rid of to give the squad a better balance does seem a backward step.

If he comes back he may have discovered a degree of humility after not being successful at a second club - doesn't mean he'll be any good though.

I do think he'll be back, even if that's to try and offload again at the end of the window, similar to the deal we did with Real and Vallejo. Him coming to stay, I think is still a fallback rather than preferred option.

Only if he met certain appearance criteria IIRC - which seems unlikely to happen.
I though it was they have an obligation to buy for £16m in July 2021 but if he made a certain amount of starts before that date they had to pay early.

Hmm, changes things. Hopefully we have a hefty penalty clause built in if they don't buy him too.

In other Cutrone news - Seems he binned his rent a gob agent last month. So presume he has had a enough of shit moves and a man who seems to wind everyone up whenever he speaks to the press

It's been subsequently confirmed that isn't the case by Spiers

And the question was.... To get the biggest laugh who is the answer to wolves striker issue?

this is all Wolves put when he left -

"Patrick Cutrone has joined ACF Fiorentina on an 18-month loan, which includes an obligation for the Serie A side to make the switch permanent."

The press stuff later on mentioned the x amount of games to make that early. Seems to be a lot of stories around right now about Fiorentina ending the deal. That can only happen if Wolves agree and compensation is agreed I would have thought

Gone to Gestifute?

It didn't necessarily, you interpreted it that way, I interpreted it differently.
Well the report I read said it the way I interpreted it, so that made it easy.

Looking up Cutrone this is interesting

"8th December 2020 - La Viola initially had an obligation to make the 22-year-old’s stay permanent, but last weekend, his agent Giovanni Branchini admitted that clause has been removed.

Now, his agent couldn't just remove that off his own back. So that means Wolves agreed to remove it. So, welcome home Patrick...

and this
"the player has cut ties with his agents, Branchini and Donato Orgnoni, and is now ready to say ‘goodbye’ to Fiorentina next month.
Cutrone’s family are currently managing him, but Calciomercato warns it will be necessary for both the Wolves owned striker and his family to rely on a new representative because there will be negotiations to conduct for his transfer."

get ready Pizza and Pasta lovers...

"Parma and Bologna are ‘at the window’, and intend to give the frontman a ‘new chance’."

The dream has died already

What's the news on Mir. Would it be worth a gamble. Played last night against Barcelona

He would have had to have had a very drastic improvement. He was shit for Forest in the Championship. Probably just suited to Spain.

We sent these players our for a reason they don't really have any future with the club. Nuno has already said we are looking to bring in a striker so it's very doubtful someone like Mir or Cutrone are going to be recalled and thrust back into the team.

He is doing ok in Spain and few reports that Real were looking at him again (we beat them to his signing). Very much a case he couldn't settle here and didn't help that Forest played him out of position (the same club that thought Bonatini outwide was a good idea...)

We could maybe use Mir if we are genuinly interested in Jovic though. Possible free transfer to go alongside a loan deal with no obligation to buy

Forest played him on the wing in a few games but he did play up front for them too and he still looked terrible. Didn't score a single goal.
